Looking way into the future,
what are the thoughts of those assembled here, about future Solo Tours, will the individuals eventually return to the solo circuit, g.... ![]() |

Definitely. Stevie has toured consistently and I don't expect that to stop, unless she's physically unable.
If Lindsey puts another album out, he'll tour again. Although it will doubtless have to be a short one. No one is going to fund him unless they think it will help them get some of the FM pie. After Unleashed is over, the monetary value of FM will have been tapped out, so I would think it would be even harder for Lindsey to get backing than it was before and it was already hard. Michele |

I agree with you that Lindsey is still attached to the machinery. Even though he makes wry comments about DYMM being the "single" and hints that the promotion was nil, he still wants to be associated with a label. Michele |

SO is everyone pretty sure that there wont be a new Mac album after Unleashed is over? and do you all think there will be anymore US shows after San Diego?

Well, I am hoping for a new album and then a tour to support it. It's been talked about so who knows if it will happen or not (I hope it does!).

I think it all really depends on how the economy will be 4-6 months from now, and how Live Nation/the band feels about going into the secondaries that were skipped (and, most likely, the reduced payday for all involved). The North American plans for Coldplay, Madonna, and U2 (all major Live Nation touring properties) in 2009 have all been adjusted, or even canceled (in Madonna's case) due to uncertainty regarding the economy.

Concerning future FM albums, with Christine gone a very large proportion of "the work" will fall on Lindsey. And of course it doesn't help if you have 18 song albums. I can see his workload becoming a factor that might prevent future FM albums. Comments he's made about Stevie not thanking him for the work done on her songs may indicate some frustration even now.

Outside producers for Tango? Who and when? Was it in the demo stages?

I hope that they'll do a Mac album and continue the tour and come to Europe!

I think Lindsey will tour solo again, Stevie has the potential to tour solo again, but she will need to make a record first.
I think Mick most definitely will tour again. He had a good run in '08 with the "Mick Fleetwood Blues Band" and seems to have a decent following (from what I've heard) with the "Island Rumours Band". With Rick Vito out front, all Mick really needs is another guitarist (Billy Burnette perhaps??) and the MFBB will be on a roll!! Plus it's not as rigorous a tour schedule with MFBB as it would be with FM. They can cover/re-interpret existing blues material from the Peter Green days, Rick certainly has the chops to write blues material for the band, Billy is no slouch in the song writing department either, so the potential for Mick is certainly there to keep right on going if this turns out to be the end for the B/N era of FM. John would certainly join Mick on occassion for a show here and there with MFBB also, I'm sure. The two of them might even be able to persuade Christine to sit in on a couple of shows in the UK and do some of her classics like "I'd Rather Go Blind". That's my humble opinion anyway. |
