Default Hope for 1980-1987 reissues?

Seeing as the 1975, 77 and 79 albums were reissued with great bonus stuff during the last great Mac attack of 03-04 it only seems right that next year we'll get reissues of Mirage and Tango In The Night. The 1980 Live album could use a sonic upgrade as well, plus any bonus tracks if there are any still in the vault.

PS-Lindsey, I know a few people who'd buy an official cd version of Buckingham/Nicks as well. Fingers crossed.

I'd love to hear a remastered Mirage, Tango and Buckingham Nicks. I don't think they can do much with the 1980 Live album. But, who knows? I'd probably buy all of them to be honest.

I would definately buy all of them! I've been waiting (somewhat patiently) ever since they released the first 3 (post B/N) upgrades...

Most especially, Mirage needs to be remastered desperately!!

I agree with all of you all these cds need re-issues with extras....and I swear if on the Mirage 'extras cd if they don't put 'Smile At You' our angry version than thats just a crime period......its better than SYW version anyday....I think they could add a 'ton' to the Live cd....first of all an extra cd of rare songs performed ....someone still would have soundboards don't they?? or maybe there was other songs they considered at the time but didn't put on 'Live'....who knows??

I don't care if they reissue the Mirage album, but the Mirage Video needs to be rereleased on DVD.

Amen! They need to do something similar to Lindsey's Live at Bass project. Remaster the whole thing, and issue it on both CD and DVD as a package. I would buy multiple copies.

I think Mirage is in desperate need of an upgrade, but they had better throw some others in there too i.e. Smile at You.

Tango could probably be fixed up a little too. Maybe throw on some others like You and I Part I.

If they did that reallll soon, they could get some good publicity for next years tour and album.

I want the music and videos. Upgraded sound and picture.
How about some two-fors

Fleetwood Mac Live Album w/Tusk Documentary (added bonus footage).

Mirage w/bonus cuts and Mirage Tour Concert Video (all filmed material).

Tango w/bonus cuts. But please no concert video with Rick and Billy.

They could add more tracks ala Live At Budokhan (cheap trick)

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Unfortunately, the LIVE album is like the bastard child for all band members - save for Mick, who was the only one who pushed for it. I love it! Even with the obvious sweetening here and there, it's still more raw and real than The Dance.

Surely, with all the concerts they recorded for the album, other songs must have been considered, and perhaps some were worked on in post-production. If so, however, it's unlikely they will see the light of day...or ear.

Those albums absolutely need to be revisited, upgraded and re-released with a reasonable amount of bonus tracks. It would be amazing if LIVE was reissued with more tracks, but I don't see that happening at all. Most of the band members have expressed disdain for it and were against it (a live album) from the get go.

In fact, many times it's missing from various listed discographies; The Dance eclipsed it as being the "live" album. I find LIVE to be much more enjoyable - more gritty, more pure rock and roll, without a dozen back-up musicians. Of course there was a lot of studio "sweetening" on most of the tracks, but that's typical with most live albums.

Anyone here listened to the {original master} versions of Mirage and Tango in The Night, that have surfaced online?
No idea of their origin and no bonus stuff , but the clarity on both is breathtaking.
heard stuff i never noticed before (yes also on tango, and i have been playing that album let's see about 18 years)
Here's hoping for an official release down the line :-)

Could you guys describe some of the differences you're hearing as a result of the better clarity of these versions? I, too, have been listening to Mirage (my favorite Mac album) and Tango for decades, and I just can't hear any differences in these "original masters" versions. Can you describe specific places in specific songs that I should be hearing an improvement? Do I need audiophile-quality equipment in order to hear the differences?

I thought that Linds said in some interview that the master reels of Mirage cannot be repaired for some reason.

Anyway I doubt we will be gatting much especially in this economy. But one can hope.
