No, I don't. I assumed it was to pay homage to the fact that it was a solo hit of hers and maybe he thinks Carlos is a better guitarist!

Lindsey standing on the edge of the stage mouthing the words to the song is quite enough for me. I have to say that between Christine and Lindsey with heads together on The Dance tour and Lindsey mouthing the words "take me home" and pointing to himself during the SYW tour, I hardly even noticed Stevie during Stand Back at FM shows.

But I enjoy watching her sing it during her solo concerts. She's a cute gal.

I don't think it related to homage so much as a matter of expedience. Carlos, Brett, Neale, whoever -- these guys already knew how to play those licks. There was no musical need for Lindsey to do anything, other than just jam along on his Turner, which he may have done on this night or that night, depending on his mood.

So, it was the learning curve that held him back? I wouldn't think that it would take that long for Lindsey to learn to play the song. If it would, the guy has more problems than I'd originally thought. Heck, I think 6-year old Lindsey could learn how to play it over the course of a few days.

On the tour, I just figured Lindsey was standing aside and saying, "This is her thing."

Lindsey doesn't use a pick so he doesn't play the slide guitar part the song requires.
