I don't think I knew that sales got up to 4 million.
http://www.pollstar.com/news/viewnews.pl?NewsID=8877 In 1975, the self-titled Fleetwood Mac LP was certified gold - 500-thousand copies sold - in the U.S. Sales would eventually top four million. It was the first Fleetwood Mac album with new group members Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. Michele |

It most certainly did. But that figure has been bouncing around since the late 70s. I wonder how many albums (and then cds) of it sold throughout the 80s, 90s and now.

That and the others.
When was the last time you remember any other album besides Rumours being updated on their sales? My recollection is early 90´s when Bare trees was elevated to platinum. It´s bands (&their managers)job to ask for checking of the album sales. That´s why record companies often "forget" the sales of most albums. What makes it even more complicated is when record company leases the record to some other label, it´s mostly up to band to check for the royalties from further labels. I think Jeremy Spencer recently said he hasn´t got royalties because hasn´t got time or the money to chase these record companies. I´ve got early mac record by Embassy,Essential and Sanctuary labels, who thinks they´ve payed up? |
