Default Vacation Plans???

Have I started this thread once before??? I can't help it! I love my vacations!!! Unfortunatly, I can only take one a year. Where are you going this year???

I have plans for my girls and I to go to Myrtle Beach. We rented a condo for a week right on the beach. I have no real plans once we get there, except maybe parasailing, renting three wheelers and riding on the beach, and just sitting on my butt enjoying the beach.

This Friday, Sara is going to South Dakota with my folks. (Yes, I'm jealous) They are staying in the Blackhills, and plan to visit Mt. Rushmore, Wind Cave, the Badlands, and going to Wyoming to see Devils Tower. Since Sara will be away from me for a week, (and I will miss her so, she's never been gone from me that long) I am taking the week off from work! Samantha and I are going to French Lick, Indiana (almost to Kentucky) for Spa Day!! We have a nice room rented in a resort, where we will go have a back, neck, and shoulder massage, facials, paraffin manicures, and pedicures. Then, we plan on sitting in the hot tub in the evening time. I'm sure there is going to be some shopping somewhere in there.... Unfortunatly, we're only going for a night. Then, on Tuesday, I plan to go have one of my tattoos reworked. I have an angel on my left shoulder and above it has Sara's name. Well, the name was never nicely done, and the color on the tattoo has faded, so I am having it all reworked. Sara has no clue. The rest of the week, I am painting Sara's playroom, and cleaning out toy boxes. She says she's getting too old for toys now. (at eight years old! ) Samantha will likely stay most of the week, and bring a couple of her friends down. I'm sure we'll go bowling, to the mall, the movies, and swimming somewhere in there! Hopefully, mom can afford this without breaking the bank! I would like to go camping sometime this summer, but my camping buddy backed out on me recently. I'm not sure camping will happen.

Nothing spectacular. The 14th annual drunken cabin camping trip will be in July. Now that we got the popup, I'm also planning at least 3 other camping trips - one to Allegeny or Letchworth State Parks in May, one to Cranberry Lake State Park in August & one I don't know where in the fall. Still researching that.

I've always wanted to go to SD & see all that stuff. Montana too.

We so should plan one in Ohio sometime... you in your popup, and me in our.... tent....

spaday sounds fabulous! that's cool having your tat reworked...very nice surprise for sara.

I haven't had a chance to make vaca plans, but will be soon. Considering a trip to boulder end of April, but that will just be a quickie. I would like to get out of the country for a little while.

A few things are for sure:

Stevie @ The Woodlands (my favorite place to see her, second only to the Greek Theatre just outside of LA) on June 2nd.

My parent's 50th anniversary party and fourth of July week at their summer home in Estes Park, Colorado. My favorite relatives from Cape Cod will be there, too. Good times.

And then I will see those lovely relatives soon after the Colorado trip while I spend a week in P-town sandwiched in between the Labor Day weekend. There isn't any other place I would rather be. Pure heaven.

I would like to spend a weekend in South Padre Island with my best friend Patrick, but he's got a boyfriend now, so that might be difficult. We'll see.

And my old friend Tamela is begging me to go to Las Vegas for a fun weekend but I might save that for my birthday in November. Vegas aint going anywhere.

It's going to be a fun summer, though!!

None as of yet, but if I wanted to go on a 'nostalgic 80's rock' musical vacation I guess I could go to Pryor (About 25 miles East of Tulsa) for the following concert festival:

A reformed RATT (featuring original lead singer Stephen Pearcy), POISON, VINCE NEIL, Y&T, WARRANT, SLAUGHTER, QUIET RIOT, DOKKEN, FASTER PUSSYCAT, JACKYL, ENUFF Z' NUFF, STEEL HEART, FIREHOUSE, BULLET BOYS, BANG TANGO and GREAT WHITE are among the confirmed acts for Rocklahoma, a three-day outdoor '80s hard rock festival which is set to take place July 13-15, in Pryor, OK, USA at the Pryor Festival Grounds. To buy tickets head to this location. For more information head to www.rockfeverfest.com

You're still staying at my MIL's condo, right? Tell me again when you're going, so I can come down for a day or two.
