I just heard the live '75 takes on The Green Manalishi at
www.throwndown.net ( Thanks! ) and I'm blown away by their take on the song. It's a pity that they didn't do that song more often. Lindsey is VERY impressive on it given the fact that it's a one guitar-take, and his interaction with Christine's organ is fabulous. (of course her interaction with his guitar is equally fabulous). I never even KNEW they did this song live! how do you guys think? gerald

Always loved Stevie's wails on this one as well, although that's no unique opinion.

I will never understand why this, "Station Man" and "Oh Well" were ever dropped from the set.

That whole concert kicks ass, doesn't it? I love it ~ it's my favourite of Fleetwood Mac's live shows. Every song they did sounded awesome. It would be so wonderful to hear these songs again. Hearing that concert really makes me miss Christine, though...she was great. I love, *love* 'Get Like You Used To Be,' 'Spare Me A Little' ~ what I would give to go back to '75 and be in the audience for one of these shows...

I agree with all of you! I love the 1975 tour set. Their energy was just so obvious. I love GM, Station Man, Why and Dont Let Me Down Again. It's too bad they dropped those songs by early 77.

Actually, "Green Manalishi", "Why" & "Station Man" lasted until about mid-1977. Basically the songs that replaced them were: Green Manalishi >> Gold Dust Woman Why >> Oh Daddy (although early in the Rumours tour, they played both songs) Station Man >> Monday Morning "Don't Let Me Down Again" was dropped at the end of 1975 ...not to appear in the set again until 1987 when Billy Burnette handled the lead vocals.
