Taku's new website (Stevie news)

Hey I went on the OLD BuckinghamNicks message board (don't know what made me go there) and there was a new post from Taku! He has a new website TakuHirano.com and he also has some photos from the Fleetwood Mac tour posted there. He also mentioned that Stevie will be performing for five nights at Ceasar's Palace from May 11-15 at Celine Dion's theater.
Just thought that I would pass on the info.

I had a half chinese boyfriend before, he was sooooooooooo cute. Green eyes, long lashes, full lips, etc. Yum.

No but seriously. I've been known to find certain people of just about any nationality attractive - but never an asian. I think they just remind me too much of my family members.

On the other hand, only the first and second generations of my family to live in the US actually married Japanese. Everybody else has favored white partners. So I guess its hereditary.

Oooh wait. I take that back. My youngest uncle just got married to a Japanese woman. Only, he doesn't really count. He moved to Tokyo after he graduated college (he was born and raised in Salinas, California). Since he actually lives in Japan it isn't very likely that he will meet non-Japanese women.

Other than that all of the third and fourth generation American family members have favored white partners.

Umm... am I the only one, or is this statement incredibly offensive? It's one thing to say you like blue eyes, but it's another thing to write off an entire race of people. Get some f***king class.

I'm used to it. She said she doesn't like how white girls with big butts look either. I've decided to get over it, I guess.

I suppose some people have racial preferences. It's not my favorite, but in the interest of peaceful conversations, I decided to live and let live?

All I said was that I'm not attracted to Asians, how is that offensive?

I also went on in later posts to explain why I don't find them attractive - they remind me of my family members (who are Japanese). It was not a racist statement, just a statement of preference. So f*cking get over it.

Oh and btw, kudos on your oh-so-classy way of telling me to get some class.

I suppose then it would be okay for a skinhead to say, "oh, I'm not attracted to Jews," or ANYONE to say "I am not into blacks." It's judging people by their ethnicity, which, the last time I checked, constitutes RACISM. You are entitled to your opinions, but sometimes it's just best to KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.

More troubling is your own self-hatred. You'll deny it because you're young and (very) ignorant, but you'll understand one day when you grow up.

There's a real cool photo of Stevie with Bette Midler in the Bette Midler section... Stevie was at her Pheonix show, she's wearing a fur trimmed coat.

That color complements her so well that it's unbelievable. They both look fab in that photo.
