Atlantic City, Nov. 29, 1997

I keep listening to Silver Springs from Atlantic City, Nov. 29, 1997 where Lindsey sings the ending. Can someone help me understand why this happens and what was Stevie doing when he was singing it and does anyone have this on tape? Sorry if this has already been discussed, I'm alittle slow

Apparently, Stevie became very upset at the end & could not finish the song. If you listen to her "give me just a chance" and "was I such a fool"s you can hear her voice crack as she starts to cry.

Many fans think that she was crying because the tour was ending. Some think that LB & Stevie were "involved" during The Dance tour & she was upset about that ending.

It's always these type of shows that there's no video from!

I think I still keep that video. Blessed Toni sent it to me 6 years ago. Have to look for it at my "attic", hope Lima humidity didn't destroy it.

I swear it. God bless Toni. She posted long ago she had the tape of the NYC Madison Sq. Garden show, Thanksgiving 1997. That was my only mac concert I've ever been in my whole life.

So I asked her to send me the tape to LA, since I'd be in that city for a week. She did it, and she sent me also 2 more tapes, from the concert she went, and the last concert of the reunion tour. Quality is not good of course, it was taped from the dark with a camcorder. But the memories are priceless, don't you think?

It's true, but I've not seen those tapes since I moved alone from my parents home, 4 years ago. Hope I find them easily.

By the way, Toni passed away few years ago. I never knew her personally or by pic, and she was so kind with me. I was so sad when they told me

Oh well the Atlantic City concert wasn't the last for the tour it was second last, Landover was the concert for the Dance tour, however what was the concert Toni went to? I swear if that Altantic City concert is out there OMG!!!!

Wow, are you serious? I love when she sings "reallly, I... dooon't WANT TO knoooowww" at the end of the second verse, about 2:12 into the song. I absolutely love how she sings that line! She sounds like she gets alittle lost (upset) on the last "I"ll follow you down til the sound of my voice will haunt you". I really like Lindsey singing the ending, infact I think this recording of Silver Springs is one of my favourites, everyone else?

Ok, I found my tape, and she doesn't cry and she did end the song. BUT, I realized that the tape I have as the last show of the reunion tour, is Landover, MD. Atlantic City was the day before the last one, I think.

Though she didn't cry in this last show, SSprings is very emotional anyway, so was the NYC performance too (that I asssisted on Thanksgiving 1997).

I just checked SSprings, I have to check when they say goodbye at the end of the show, to comment if there are particulary emotive moments between L&S.

There's the Landover "Kiss" and the Atlantic City thing where Liddy sings the last few lines. Nancy posted the Landover clip and the Atlantic City mp3.
