Default Mansfield Quick Notes

Ok I just got back and I have to get up early for NYC tomorrow so this is quick.

First of all security were a bunch of %*&%#heads! I had front row and I went to my usual spot in front of LB. Well, we were told that we could not stand near the stage but had to stand in front of our seats only!
Well, my ticket was right in the middle between SN and LB so it was pretty nice.
I was afraid to use my camera but I did anyway and got some nice pics.

Stevie sounded good. She looked a bit pale but otherwise looked OK. She did not seem very happy but my doubts were gone at the end of the night.

Lindsey was not his usual self I thought. One of the Turner's still had a broken bottom knob. I thought I saw a new Turner at one point but I can not remember at what song. Maybe if I go and look at my photos I can find it.

I held up a "Rhode Island Loves Lindsey" sign in the beginning.

I was "Come girl" again. The crowd sat down so I was afraid to use my camera during that song. I would have stuck out like a sore thumb and they were NASTY!

No Silver Springs. Reports were that SN was better but not 100%

Mick was his crazy self.

John quiet as ever.

During the intros a few of us started to sing Happy Birthday to Stevie. Mick said here is the birthday girl. Stevie blew us a few kisses I believe.

I got a hand slap from Lindsey during Tusk.

OK are you ready for this one??

STEVIE WAS SHAKING HANDS!! INCLUDING MINE!! I got a nice smile from her too.
She went down the front row and touched just about everyone.

OK sorry I have to go now. More Monday.

Thanks for the report, Pattie... and I'm really happy to hear that Stevie shook your hand.

I hate to say this though, but I wonder if this leg of the tour was a bad idea. It seems like it's really taking a lot out of them.
I hope that Stevie's health improves soon, and that their collective spirits rise again.

aaawwww.... I thought she looked a little wrung out.

Darn, Johnny Stew... I was wondering the same thing. Let's hope that's not the case and that it's just a hickup. They've been on break so maybe it's just a matter of picking up the pace again. If I recall, isn't this the 2nd longest tour behind Tusk?

That's really cool Stevie shook hands. Have to wonder if that will carry thru or if it was a one time thing cuz it was the day after a cancelled show- her birthday, etc. Way to go Pattie!

If I recall correctly, this one is beating Tusk out in length of time. I think Tusk started in late 1979 and then ended by the beginning of September in 1980. I might be wrong though...I'm just going off memory.

*Edit....I should add, I'm not going off ACTUAL memory, just what I know of the Tour. Considering I still had about two months to go in the womb when they played the final shows at the Hollywood Bowl in 1980!!

*** WARNING - POTENTIAL SET LIST SPOILERS ***

Mansfield was a very good show, if not quite up to the level of the invitation-only Boston taping last year.

I thought I Know I'm Not Wrong was the best song of the night.

Peacekeeper was (again) not that great as a live song.

Disappointed that Silver Springs and What's The World Coming To have been dropped from the set list.

All in all, a great night.

I thought Stevie was out of it. Not into the show at all. I was very disappointed.

Lindsey was great, though.

I hope she's better by the time Hartford rolls around.
