Thumbs up More Tour Dates To Be Added!!!

YEA!!!

http://www.livedaily.com/news/6222.html

March 10, 2004 02:17 PM - Fleetwood Mac, which kicks off a U.S. tour in May, has extended the run into July.

About a half-dozen July dates now grace an itinerary that already features a full contingent of May and June shows. The latest additions include stops in Washington state, Montana, Colorado and Canadian province Alberta.

The group has also flip-flopped two late-June shows; a planned June 26 stop in Concord, CA, is now June 27, and a planned June 27 stop in the Sacramento area is now June 26.

More dates are expected, as the band plans to remain on the road through the summer, according to Warner Bros. Records.

Members of the band's fan club have access to ticket pre-sales for each show, according to the band's official website. The fan-club offering features two different ticket packages: the first includes a ticket in the first 30 rows, priced at face value plus a $10 service charge; the second features tickets in the first five rows, an exclusive T-shirt and VIP laminate, an autographed tour book, a $25 coupon for the band's online store, and a VIP backstage tour that does not include a meet-and-greet with the band, priced at $500.

Additional details are posted at the group's website.

Fleetwood Mac continues to support last April's "Say You Will," which is the band's first studio album since 1986's "Tango in the Night" to feature Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. Keyboardist-vocalist Christine McVie has retired from the group.

VH1--which, along with VH1 Classic, is sponsoring the tour--is airing a 90-minute Fleetwood Mac documentary this month that features footage of the band working on "Say You Will." Showtimes are posted at the band's website.

I'm praying for a Toronto/Buffalo/Montreal stop!

(not literally though, but it would be nice)

Do you think Fleetwood Mac will ever reunite?
Maybe. But not with me or Christine or Lindsey. Christine and I will always be close; Lindsey just plain doesn't like me. I never had any musical training of any kind. I just had this innate ability to walk in, sit down at a piano, and write a song in five minutes, and go to bed. It drives him nuts. - Stevie Nicks, 1994

I'm with you guys. They NEED to do Buffalo. Or at least Rochester or Toronto. Us in upper New York are constantly forgotten. Meanwhile Washington State gets 3 dates

Hey, now! I, obviously, am thrilled about the three dates. One of them is clearly an "Oregon substitute"...it is quite near Oregon (which does not have a seperate show), which I do not believe to have an appropriate outdoor venue (which the group may very well perfer all around and certainly to the Portland indoor Rose Garden). The Mac and Stevie are always awesome about coming up here (perhaps we have the residence of Stevie's uncle in Tacoma to thank)...the Pacific Northwest is very often completely neglected on sometimes huge tours by huge artists even. I don't know why, since we have major cities here...perhaps the gray tone 3/4 of the year has an influence. It is also much more difficult to drive to shows in multiple states here, as opposed to the north east. For instance, it takes 5 hours just to drive across WA State (east to west), and 4 hours to drive it north to south.

I agree, lots of places get neglected. The north and south dakota always seem to get neglected as well. I think a big part of the problem for upstate new york and western new york is that we don't have a major venue for summer amphitheatre tours, six flags darien lake has a decent size amphitheatre but it just dosn'tc compete with the tweeter centers and verizon wireless centers. The mac sold well in buffalo...they should deffinitely come back
