![]() I don't know much about ordering a good wine & seldom drink. How well-versed are you? Do you have a favorite?

![]() I really don't like wine very much and rarely drink it. I'd just as soon have a mixed drink or a cold brewsky.

![]() I don't touch alcohol, but if I did, I'd be a Two Buck Chuck kind of person.

I do not like wine that much. But, I have had some stellar wines before. My fav. white wine is Chardonnay from "Lindemann" an Australian winery. It used to be about $4.99 a bottle and now that it is popular - it is about $8.99 or $9.99 a bottle. Good stuff for a good price. ![]() |

![]() Well, I don't drink anymore but when I did...
Veuve Clicquot Moet White Star Caymus Cakebread Cellars Silver Oak Chateau Lafite Mouton Cadet There is also a fabulous, dry, oak-y chardonnay that I used to drink, however I can't remember the name of it. Dom is overrated, IMO. I did like Cristal but not for the price. |

For under $20, you can get a decent red wine. I have never had a bad bottle of Clos Du Bois. My personal favorite is a California wine called "Toasted Head". It is made by R.H. Phillips - great Merlot and Chardonnay. Very smooth so it is good for "beginners".

![]() I'm not a big wine drinker, but I used to be...a friend of mine and I were big winos lol...and we just drank a lot of reds...nothing special...just cheap nasty stuff..
I actually prefer whites, however, a good white zinfadel is usually okay with me...I also enjoy reisling, I like less dry, more sweet BUT not too sweet...we've got some decent wineries around where I live...so I've been trying more wine as of late...but I still prefer a good ole' gin and tonic to anything else ![]() |

![]() REALLY Sweet Wines (white):
Gewurtztraminer Rieslings Blue Nun (one of my faves...as well as Christine McVie's) Liebfraumilch any "Rhine wine" Sweet wines: Chablis White Zinfandel (a "blush"...way back when they were called "rose (rose-ay)" But, I still think there's nothing better than Chianti with a big plate of spaghetti & a tomato based sauce. Wow, they still MAKE "Boone's Farm"?? I thought they went out of business when I stopped drinking it (back in 1973). I thought for SURE I was the only one keepin' 'em in business. ![]()
