Default Live in Boston platinum

I didn't see that anyone had posted this, but I could be wrong:

Live in Boston (the longform video) was certified gold and platinum in December. I think that means sales exceeding 100,000.

I <3 you.

Unfortunately, I think the certification is different for videos/DVDs. Where's Hayley?

I don't see ANYway LIB could've sold 1,000,000.
I don't think it's possible......

Criteria is different for long form video. 50,000 is gold. 100,000 is platinum.

It was certified by the RIAA in December for both, but I think they can certify based on shippments after it reaches gold, not necessarily actual copies sold. So the 50,000 was reached in actual sales, but the platinum status was reached based on shipments.

Aren't there 2 DVD discs to the Live In Boston thing? This is the same as The Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac. That was a 2 CD set. That has sold(according to Soundscan over a million copies). It should soon be certified as multi-platinum(2 million shipped). It was originally certified as platinum soon after its release. It is doubled(for RIAA certification purposes) because of the number of discs. At least that's what they do with CDs. I would think they do the same thing with DVDs. A short while ago, someone posted that LIB had sold 50,000 copies according to soundscan. If you double that because of the number of discs, that would explain why it's been certified platinum(100,000) even though it's only sold 50,000.
