Default Angel in next Setlist

Angel should replace Dreams in the next tour setlist I think, what other changes should be made. i think the next set list has to be very, very fun and full of moments where you can up and dance, I think she could still pull of Angel even with the same enthusiasm, it would be awesome (I have been watching the Tusk Doco footage, it is soo awesome, it is the first time I saw it )

Rumor has it they practiced Angel this summer for the last of the shows in September. I don't think it will ever come back. I think it would have fit perfectly after ISA, since they dropped SS......

Yeah I'd go for it but I don't think Dreams will ever come out of the setlist considering it's their only #1 and Stevie seems to like even though if I was her I would get so bored singing that song every friggin night of ever friggin tour!

Isn't it. It's like my fave thing ever. I think she should do it, too...it's all fun and kicky. Wait, i just had a horrible thought...what if slowed it down or something when she did it? AAAAHHHHH!

I thought that "Angel' would be the perfect replacement for "Gypsy", but then they went for "Sara" instead. Wouldn't it go perfectly right after "Come"? Lindsey's all toweling off (no pun intended) and after a few moments the crowd's settling down and then the keyboard just kicks in and we get a cool mellow but upbeat song before the slower/emotional part of the set (Landslide, etc.) kicks in.

I still want "Miranda" in the set and early on instead of "Peacekeeper". Let's face it, the general crowd almost groans when they say 'So we have a new album, and we'd like to play a new song" and then Peacekeeper just ends up boring most of the time live. I think that if they said 'so we have a new album out, here's one off of it' and went with Miranda - it'd really get the fans going. It's one of Lindsey's catchiest ever and they could go on for a bit at the end with that fun jam. THEN do Peacekeeper or Say You Will once you've got the flow going, you know?

And finally, now that you've got the door open :-D ... put Never Going Back Again in the middle of the set, where they have Mick's drums up front. Do it in a similar fashion to "Say You Love Me" w/the Dance. Line them up and have a fun spunky song before they go into Beatiful Child or Red Rover.

I used to agree with "Dreams" going out - but to be honest, when I finally heard it live it has a lot more kick to it, and it's a good 'look we're playing our hits already in the set' feel to it, since it comes in second. So I'm not that opposed to it where it is now (took a while though :-) )

AND FINALLY (for real) I'd move IKINW towards the end. Right around the Gold Dust Woman/I'm So Afraid part of the show. I always felt that song was good for later on in the set (specifically after a really big song - I'd like to see it follow Stand Back maybe).

And that does it for me. I love the art of a good setlist!

Um...from my experience the non-hard core fans get turned off at the mere mention of a new album because they've all come to hear Rumours. Maybe if Lindsey said "Um...this is a song from Rumours..." [crowds cheering] "...um...called Miranda?" [confused look on face]

I really thought IKINW was bad. I liked Eyes of the World much better. IKINW just kept going on and on and on. There was no pizazz to it, but still it was nice ot hear another song from tusk live.

Dreams yes is not too great in concert but Stevie said it is her FAVORITE song because it never gets dropped from the set.

If they did Miranda I would be ao friggin happy because that song rocks!

In mansfield the crowd was more into the new songs than the older ones. I am not kidding about this either.

Haha this is very true. I bet half of them wouldn't know the difference if he introduced it that way But I do think that if they did Miranda (or even Destiny Rules or Everybody Finds Out) rather than Peacekeeper as the first new song, the crowd would warm up to the 'new song' slump a lot better. It's a double whammy when they mention new album and then go through PK, which just lags. I doubt we'll ever hear it live again.

As for the 'fluff' issue with IKINW - I think they only did that because it's so early in the set list. I think Lindsey didn't necessarily want to give up/trade Eyes of the World, and so he realized he needed to amp up IKINW as a really energetic third song if he was going to replace it. If it were later in the set, I bet it'd be toned down but right now it's the 'keep people on their feet' song. That's why I'd prefer it much later on in the show.

i think they'd be really stoked to hear Miranda - I know i would be, i love that song. good thoughts on IKINW...I liked it, though...didn't mind the amped up version...

Don't laugh. Your scenario is highly plausible.

Everybody thinks that doing "Angel" again would be to bring back that old spirit it had when it was new. But the pessimist in me thinks the conglomeration of unnecessary people on the Fleetwood Mac stage today would take a gutsy dodge like "Angel" & turn it into a galumphing dirge.

When I heard a tape of "I Know I'm Not Wrong" from one of the shows this year, I yelled SHUTUP at Brett, Taku, Sharon, Mindy, Jana, Carlos, Neale, Joe Drummer #2, et al. Too many goddamn people showing off their chops instead of letting the song speak for itself.
