Default New Fleetwood Mac album?

Mic just posted on his instagram that he is flying to LA to go into the studio to record? “Off to LA to work on a crazy album….Long working hours ahead…”

What???!!

He is a musician and an amazing drummer, so he's just doing what he loves!

It is nice to hear that he is still interested in making new music!

Default Broken chain

Not a chance in Hades that this is a FM project. Fleetwood Mac has long been good at promising imminent new material that ends up taking half a decade or more or never eventuates at all. If it really was supposed to be an FM project, let alone one at such an advanced stage, those involved on the label/management end would be flooding the ether with a deafening buzz of on-the-nose 'hints'.

I’m pretty sure Mic took the 1st opportunity to spill the beans. He mentions Fleetwood Mac and tradition. So I am going with yes the band is recording a new album. Stevie was waxing eloquent (People Mag last week quoted the podcast) and hinted about a reconciliation. Even if she opts to not sit in a studio for months, I hope Stevie gives them three songs that she wrote, I don’t care if she produced it herself using Apple Garage Band (that’s how she recorded the foundation of Lighthouse). Even better pull something raw out of her vault that Lindsey tweaked back in the day that didn’t make the cut on Rumours or Tusk or Mirage era. That would be awesome. Raw, unaltered. Young Stevie voice. Beautiful.

Yes and he likes to play live or collaborate recording with other musicians. Shimabukuro, Gimour, Lindsey, etc. I think a Mac album would be the least likely possibility (hopefully).

I just read he is expected to appear as a guest at Saturday's R&R HOF induction. That could be a main reason for this travel, too.

Mick gets involved with other musicians and records out-of-the-way albums. The idea that this is a Lindsey and Stevie recording in the making really feels unlikely to me, but who knows.

Except:

Lindsey has been down on Stevie for so long because of her refusal to get into a studio again. With her tentative plan earlier this year to record her Ghost album filled with songs about her loves, maybe that excited him enough to ask her to be involved to pull those songs together. The songs would have already been written — she’s on tour, after all — and Lindsey and Mick might be doing some record-making with Stevie on the road.

He also inducted Bad Company into the R&R hall of fame last night. Paul Roger's was a big Fleetwood mac Peter Green Era fan.

It's a solo album. He just posted "In the studio recording my solo album … all is going great!! xx, Mick" and a couple of pictures. No details yet.

Ok…. So it’s an album of just drumming?
