Default Stevie visits HAIR KC before show

https://www.instagram.com/p/CwGW_1yJ...RlODBiNWFlZA==

Has everyone seen this IG post? I was confused because in a video from the show, her hair isn't straight. It's still that crazy rat's nest that looks like Waddy's, yet in the IG photo, it's straight as she's leaving the salon.

PS Sorry~I don't know how to embed the photo.

Stevie is not using her real hair in the show. On stage, she wears a curly wig that attaches on behind her bangs. The bangs are her real hair, the curly part that you describe is a full wig. Her real straight hair is tied behind the curly wig.

Chrisine McVie also wore wigs onstage during the last two Fleetwood Mac tours and the Buckingham McVie tour.

I think it’s more disconcerting that it’s a wig and thus, a choice! Did she have one made purposely to look similar to Waddy’s hair? It’s a rough look on her and ages her something terrible.

I agree 100%. I remember someone mentioned weeks ago that she was wearing a wig, so it was so odd to see her in a salon having her hair, which looked long, beautiful, and silky, being styled only to cover it up with Waddy's great grandma's wig.

At 75, Stevie is more about simplicity these days. The times of traveling with 5 wardrobe cases containing 30 shawls and hats are over.

The stage wig provides simplicity and causes less stress and damage to her real hair. Getting ready for the show is easier:

Apply stage makeup, tie hair in ponytail and attach wig, put on the basic black outfit with cushioned shoes and go. 4 capes are kept behind the stage to layer for certain songs.

At 75 years old, who has the energy? This is a very scaled back show in many ways. She might just need a straight wig instead.

honestly the back of her hair in that pic (the one where her stylist is pulling a section up on the brush)looks like extensions... clearly a different slight more reddish color than the rest of her head. It's usually much more difficult as we age to get long hair that is that full and lush.

Also, if I were her, and I were going to wear a huge wig, I'd keep my natural hair much shorter (as Dolly does and always has done). Interesting choice.

Stevie is not quite as svelte as she was when she was younger (not a criticism, just a reality of post-menopause) and it seems to me lately she is doing as she did when she got heavier in her post-klonopin years for a while-- that is, when her body gets bigger she tries to I dunno... camouflage or minimize her body somehow with even BIGGER hair... like if the hair is bigger than the body then the body doesn't look as big.... know what I mean? But it didn't work then and it doesn't really work now.... she just looks, with her hair and her outfits, like a linebacker.

STEVIE FREAKING NICKS⚡️spent three hours after hours with us last night getting her hair done by her stylist
I'm guessing one hour for hairstyling and two hours for storytime.

All. Of. This. And...
As someone who tried to emulate Stevie, (prior to 2018), and who had five tracks of weave sewn in immediately after watching the Tango in the Night video, I've been obsessed with weaves and toppers since the 1980s; therefore, I can't understand why, if she is wearing a wig, she would
A. Get her hair done in a salon the night before a show (unless she's taking a "trip to the mall" a la Celeste Talbert in Soap Dish), or
B. Wear a wig that looks like a chewed up babydoll head in the backyard.

Maybe she's practicing reverse psychology and attempting to imitate the drag queens of modern day who perform as her.
