Default Fleetwood Mac connection to new Kevin Smith film, Tusk

Taken from San Diego Comic Con 2013, story behind the movie and concept (which is highly intriguing in and of itself) begins at 4:50, Mac mention at roughly 8:20.

Warning: Foul language, obviously.

I saw that on twitter a while ago, but I wasn't sure anyone here would be interested in Kevin Smith! I'm a fan of his too, so it made me especially happy to hear that little connection.

First image from Kevin Smith's new movie, TUSK.

As a side note, I've been defending the album Tusk on different sites on the internet. Tusk is a masterpiece! Rumours is tired! Come on!

Kevin Smith ruins everything.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

I thought it was nice. The song's weird and creepy tones made him wanna reference the song through its title. Art inspires art. lol At least in some sort of fashion he's showing his love of the Mac.

I could go either way. What did he ruin? I can't think of anything he's done besides Copout that sucked? Red State was alright. Zack and Miri I liked a lot. Clerks 2 is one of my favorite movies. Am I missing something?

Default Tusk - The Movie

Have you guys heard about this? Kevin Smith, the guy who made Clerks, Mall Rats and Chasing Amy, made a horror movie about a guy who gets invited to the home of a eccentric recluse only to get drugged, mutilated and turned into a walrus. And it's called Tusk. And yes, they do play the song during a pivotal scene and it was amazing. And gross. Really really gross.

From Bloody-Disgusting.com By Trace Thurman on March 10, 2016

http://bloody-disgusting.com/editori...fense-of-tusk/

From a technical standpoint, Tusk is fairly competent. The budget seems a little too small to make use of a good cinematographer. It’s not that the cinematography is bad, per se, it’s just that Tusk is a very contained film. Most scenes take place in a room, though Howe’s mansion is glorious to look at. The music is also appropriately creepy, though the use of Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk” in the film’s climactic battle, while fitting, is a little too on the nose. “Tusk” is one of my favorite songs though so I can’t complain about that too much, but I can just see the eye rolls in the audience the second those drums started playing.
