According to Billboard's Chart Beat column, Cardi B is essentially guaranteed to secure the number one spot on the US Billboard 200, although they did dedicate a few paragraphs to Buckingham Nicks, essentially indicating that it could have a promising debut.
A longtime collectors’ favorite, this early full-length collaboration between then-future Fleetwood Mac superstars Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks — self-titled under the name Buckingham Nicks — had been out of print for many decades. As the Mac catalog has proved a persistent cultural force time and time again across those years, there have been countless calls from fans for the album to once again see the light of day. Finally, through the efforts of Rhino Records — and with the cooperation of both artists, who have been largely on the outs since Buckingham’s 2018 split from the rest of the group — the much-beloved set has at last been reissued, arriving both on streaming services and in record stores. For the latter, the set is available on CD and through multiple vinyl variants — its first-ever pressing on CD — and while it’s unlikely to challenge Cardi B’s overall numbers this week, you can bet those who have waited generations to get their hands on a copy will jump at the chance to finally own the record. https://www.billboard.com/music/char...rs-1236073881/ I'm not sure about the reliability of this following website, but Hits reported that Buckingham Nicks shifted 41,000 units in the US as of Tuesday, of which 40,000 were attributed to physical album sales. I would assume that preorders comprise a sizable portion of this. This places Buckingham Nicks at number six by the middle of the running chart week, which is set to conclude Thursday at 11:59 p.m. A top ten debut is not necessarily guaranteed though, as other albums could catch up. Buckingham Nicks is posting rather poor streaming numbers, which is not an entirely promising sign. https://www.hitsdailydouble.com/news...-20-2025-09-23 In the UK, Buckingham Nicks is at number five on the Official Albums Chart Update listing, which documents "sales of CDs, downloads, vinyl, audio and video streams" from Friday - Sunday. The official UK charts should be published around the middle of the day on Friday, the same day that the Ireland and New Zealand charts will be published. Fleetwood Mac has generally performed well in these countries, so I'll be curious to see how the album charts there. https://www.officialcharts.com/chart...0250922/7502u/ Last edited by WalkAThinLine.; 09-29-2025 at 08:41 PM.. |
