Default 9/27 Estero Florida Concert

Anyone else going to this show? Lot of good seats(some singles) popping up for sale by resellers cheap on fortmyers.craigslist.org and ebay. Yesterday saw a 135.00 seat going for about 50% retail(may have sold). Anyways, we'll be in Floor 6 Row 4 seats 1 & 2 if anyone wants to say Hi. Most of my co-workers opted for the 29.50 seats
Funny thing about the Germain Arena seating chart is in sections 1-3 it varies how many rows will be in that section depending on the show I guess. Some diagrams show 8 rows, some 20. At the Tom Petty concert we went to sections 1-3 only had 3 rows. Anyways to those going ENJOY!

Default Great Show!

It was a great show tonight. Stevie came on shortly after 7:35pm. This crowd made up of all ages was up and dancing from the beginning and full of applause. Stevie said this was her final show of a two year tour, although she had some 40 minute set shows coming up. She said tonight her and the band were headed to the Islands for 2 days R + R.
At the beginning of FWIW she talked about the video and started watching it herself before realizing it was time to sing. She raced for the microphone and pulled it off in time.
Great drum solo led into Edge. When it was time for the edge walk Stevie walked over and security guard told her "No" (touching the fans). She put her hands on her waist and kinda said "Come On". She then bent down told the security guard something and started shaking hands. Some guy in the crowd pushed or did something to a female near the stage. Stevie called him out and said she is known to jump off the stage and take care of business or something to that affect.
Basically same set list as past IYD's shows minus Leather + Lace and no Ghost. She said some other funny things about being a vampire during Moonlight and something about meeting Edgar Alan Poe few hundred years ago.
Even though she played around 2 hours crowd still wanted more. Very lively event, much more fun than the 2 dates I saw with Rod, and the other 2 solo shows I've seen in the past year.
It was my daughter Stephanie's(15 birthday today) first Stevie show. She loved it and said I can tell Stevie is getting older but her voice is still awesome, and she is so good. I laughed and understood. Rock on Stevie!!
**Looks like the shirt prices were reduced, most were 20-25 bucks(limited sizes), hat was 15 or 20, key chain 5, and the big ticket hoody 50.
Oh another thing she said: "Thanks for listening to and appreciating my new songs, I want to show I am not just an artist relying on the past, I am a relevant artist progressing forward." I loved it!

Hilarious. As far as her being a relevant artist progressing forward, I wish that could be said of Fleetwood Mac as well.

I wonder why no Leather and Lace or Ghosts Are Gone? Or New Orleans for that matter. Ugh

2 of those songs are from In Your Dreams. Grrr

Great review, thanks. Glad you were able to experience the show wiith your daughter. I asked my daughter, who just turned 11, if she wanted to come see Stevie with me this summer, and she had no desire to go. I don't know if it's an age thing, or if that's her final decision on the matter. But cool for you.

Yeah, it was nice to Stevie with my daughter. She likes alot of Stevie's songs. After the show she was so impressed she started inquiring about the Fleetwood Mac tour!
Funny though, on our way to the event she kept saying "I know I'll be the youngest person there." Boy was she wrong, yeah there was plenty of 40-60 year olds but we saw several kids and teenagers rocking out to Stevie.
Also, Stevie clearly said this was the last stop of this near 2 year tour. That it would be the last 2 hour show she does this year. She continued to say that she was booked for some smaller events or contracted 30-40 minute appearances.

I was very surprised with how many young people were at the shows i've been to, as well! I'm a youngster too, only 17. Stevie's been my idol since I was little, because my mom is obsessed with her. So she passed it down to me. Anyway, I thought it would be all older people at the shows, but surprisingly I saw a ton of other young kids and teenagers. In fact there was a mother with 4 little kids in front of us at the Holmdel show in June. 4 itty bitty kids, all singing along to the Stevie songs. So cute!
