Default HI, I'm Bubba

Hello all. Some of you may remember me from the 7 Wonders board.....not sure if that's a good thing or not.....but I've decided to jump into the pool over here. The chats seem to be more fun over here so I'm looking forword to getting in on the conversations. I hope to amuse or offend but at least bring something to the table. I'm an old timer who got Rumours in '77 and saw FWM for the first time in '78. I worked in radio for a few years ( small stations) and now work in retail til I figure out what I want to do with the second half of my life. But enough about me. I'm glad to be here. Bubba

I started with the white album and it got played a ton (then went the cassette route on Rumours), but my Dad actually had Then Play On and I played that a couple of times. I got curious about what 'happened' between then and the second half of the '70s and after Tusk, Mirage and Bella Donna I ran across Bare Trees on LP which was like yet another group entirely. So slowly I was pulled into their web of mystery and quality musicianship! I also had a Walter Egan LP back in the day (which I still have but replaced everything else with CD now). It would be interesting to see what everyone's first FM exposure was, first album they bought...

I'll tell you a funny story. A buddy of mine who knew I was big into Fleetwood Mac....this was in 78 or 79....told me about seeing the Kenny Loggins album that had the song, "Whenever I Call You Friend." on it. He saw it at this small record store and said it was easy to find because Stevie Nicks was on the cover with Kenny. He knew I'd be very interested because I had serious plans to marry Stevie one day ( update: that still hasn't happened). Well, I go to this store and find the album he was talking about but.....it wasnt Kenny Loggins on the cover with Stevie but Lindsey and the album was, ofcourse, BuckinghamNicks. Oh man, I couldn't grab that sucker fast enough. He gave me some wrong info but I was sure happy I decided to check it out. I still have that album today too.
