Another Pre-Show Party Cancelled

I got this email today. We will be refunded $50 fo the cancellation:

Dear Fleetwood Mac Uniondale 5 Star fan,

Due to logistical issues, there will not be a pre-show party at the Uniondale Fleetwood Mac show at the Nassau Coliseum on March 13th, 2009. All other package details remain: a Mick Fleetwood meet & greet (if you chose it), a ticket in the first 10 rows, a 5 Star souvenir laminate, exclusive Fleetwood Mac gift bag, parking (where available), hassle free entrance to the venue, crowd-free merchandise shopping and a discount coupon to the Fleetwood Mac online store.

We will refund $50 per package to the credit card used to make your purchase. Please note it may take 5-10 business days to credit to your account.

We will email your 5 Star itinerary 5 days before your show.

Logistics my ass. Why were there no logistics problems when they made the offer and collected people's money. And now there is. There just aren't enough people who bought the package to make it worth their (small amount of) effort. They should refund more than that and give you food and drink coupons for the vendors at the stadium.

Is anyone really surprised about this? With all the info people have posted about how they've been screwed by ILAA in the past, this is really just par for the course.

I think the 5-Star Package should include membership in the actual band.

They did the same thing for our party... I am not upset, as long as they don't cancel our M&G. Now, I could be a little pissy about that. Did you get the M&G, or just the 5?

No I didn't get the meet and greet. I wasn't interested in the pre-show party anyway. I just want a good concert ticket. If I not in row 1 or 2, I will be an unhappy camper. Michele

It's for the 13th, right? Well, get back with me about it. We will compare experiences. Have you used ILAA before? I am hoping I get row 1 or 2, but I will be happy regardless. It will be the FIRST time I have ever been that close, to this band, ever. So guarantee me the first ten rows, I am down with that.

Well, gal, we are both in it for the first time. I am beyond myself. Can I tell you because my partner is beginning to go MAD with my Mac-Madness. Most people say that you get awesome seats. There are a few that don't. I am not sure what that is about. I have theories, however; about how the packages are closed almost 2 weeks before the show and then all these GREAT seats on STUBHUB disappear... Another thing is... I think the seats that ILAA does NOT sell do go straight back to Ticketmaster. So should we have waited for Ticketmaster? I guess, but I am not that patient.

My only thought is... What will I do if I get there and I am in the front row? Will I be able to control myself? Will I fall apart ala Micheal Jackson, or the Beatles? What will I do if I got 10th row? My guess is that so few people bought these packages that we have nothing to worry about. What are your thoughts on the issue?

At the Pittsburgh show, I had 3rd row center which I paid for at face value from Ticketbastard. About 20 minutes after my friend & I sat down, the ILAA people came in, and there were not that many of them. Maybe 6 or so got the front row seats in front of us, a few were put in the second row, and then 3 more were put beside me in the 3rd row, with one empty seat directly between us & them. I am not sure if there were other ILAA people in the other floor sections or not, but that was for center floor. I dunno if that helps or not, but the guys in the row with me did do the M&G with Mick and said he was lovely.

There were ILAA people in my section and they had front row center seats.
They talked about seeing the backstage area and meeting Mick.
