Default Sun

Ever notice Christine's use of the sun as a metaphore in her early Mac material?

"Now I know how the sun must feel, every time it shines"

"Even though you stop the sun from shining."

"'Cause my heart will rise up with the morning sun."

Wink And Stevie is Moon

And Stevie is Moon?
Some examples:

Sisters of the Moon
"just like the moon that she loves...don't you know that the stars are a part of us?"

I know there are many more-but of course, I am drawing a blank

Friend - "When the sun goes down and you’re not around."

then shortly after - "Don’t you know I told everyone, I even told the rising sun."

then shortly after - "When the sun goes down in this sleepy little town."

WELL-if you want to get technical and look away from her moon lyrics...
We also have the ever present words of Stevie like, um:

dreams-seas, destiny, water of many types...angels, in one form or another-madness- heartbreak
give me a chance, or I'll haunt you lyrics i.e. Silver Springs,
Kind of Woman, Storms and also Sisters of the Moon-me thinks
