Bill Graham's Days On The Green took place at the Oakland Coliseum on April 25, 1976. Billed as "The British Are Coming," the inaugural outdoor festival featured UFO, Gary Wright, Status Quo, Peter Frampton, Fleetwood Mac & others. Bill Jones reviewed the concert in the Rock-N-Roll News.
![]() Owing to overwhelming demand, Bill Graham Productions added a second show on May 1 -- "The British Are Back To Back" -- with essentially the same lineup. ![]() You can find photos from the shows in your Rumours lyrics insert -- most of the outdoor live shots were taken at the Oakland 1976 Days On The Green. Here's a Windows Media file of Fleetwood Mac onstage at the opening festival in April, shot on a home movie camera from the audience. It's shaky & blurry, but it's Fleetwood Mac history. Home movies from those days were silent, so Judy the Video Goddess mixed some Mac music in the data file. http://s34.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0...736U9ULL7WUHXB |

I don't understand why it's outside, though.

Thanks for this! The home movie quality somehow makes it more intimate.
Whenever I think of the 70's I just think of Summer, all blown-out light, and earthtones. Maybe I remember childhood apartments with avocado appliances, and orange shag carpet, or all the brown and rust clothing (like Lindsey's pants in the video) or maybe it's just that the film, or film processing in the seventies produced the palette that I have superimposed on my memory.

Did anyone else catch Stevie's HIGH KICK? It was around 1 min 48sec or 1 50, her damn leg looked like it could have gone over Micks head!
Thank for the video. Brit

I think that was Mick's daughter Amy up there w/ them, she was about 5 then, wonder if she remembers any of that. pretty surreal. Great clip.-Lis |

How cool was that? Makes it easy to understand why women wanted to be Stevie Nicks when they saw her on stage. The spinning, the tambourine, and especially the flowing sleeves... *sigh* Why, oh, why did I have to be born too late to experience FM in the 70s....
Thanks for posting, it, David.

It would be cool if a boot of this turned up. Mix in the real music.
