torrent help

I just love using torrents sites. But lately everytime I try to load a file, doesn't matter what size or type, I get a very high rubbish data dropped. It's so high I can't down load anything any more. This happens on all torrent sites.
I have Xp, useing firefox, and Bit comet. I'm on ADLS. My computer is running smoothly other wise. I even tryed disabling my firewall and antivirus, but nothing works. Any computer geek out there.
