Default This looks familiar...

Got a kick out of this... This blurb which appears on the news page on the official Mac site was copied word-for-word from my site

Quote:
Stevie Reveals True Meaning of Landslide on VH1 True Spin

Stevie bares her soul to VH1 True Spin, revealing the true meaning of the 1975 classic "Landslide." The segment includes vintage photos, interviews and footage of Landslide from the 1998 VH1 Storytellers concert.
I guess this wouldn't be the first time the official site has lifted something, *cough* Penguin discography, from a fan site without issuing credit.

The Penguin discography was lifted when Toad was still involved.. wasn't it? Shame the new team are doing the same

Yeah, JT lifted the Penguin discography when the club was a mess. The new team is better. At least, you can actually navigate through their site fairly easily these days.

I don't mind that they copied my blurb. I'm more annoyed that they cut out the reference to Burnish (where you could actually view the segment). They have this annoying policy to keep fan sites out of their news postings, which is a huge disservice to the casual fan who visits their site.

Especially annoying since they seem to take their news postings FROM the fan sites. Lame.

I also noticed they're doing "Today in Fleetwood Mac History". Now, where have I seen that before?

It always amazes me when I see little brief bios on different sites that were stolen *word for word* from the bios I composed years ago in my pea brain. There is one on John that cuts off halfway through his life, because I don't think they noticed I had written more under a particular picture.

Funny. sort of.
