VH1 New Mac tour promoter

It looks like the mac summer tour will be presented by VH1/VH1 Classic....instead of Concerts West like last summer...

here's what it says on ticket master

Do they still do Artist of the Month at VH1? If so, the Mac needs a month.

They should play ALL their videos (FM and solo) on VH1 Classic!!

VH1 is the presenter of the tour, not the promoter (they are two different things). Concerts West has bought all the arena dates, and Clear Channel is the promoter of the shows at the sheds.

you're right....it's also interesting that VH1 is the PRESENTER of the tour...regardless , they have something to do with it...and they didnt last year! lol

Same idea as when a beer or soft drink compnay sponsors an artist's tour. They are not the promoter. It is split promotion deal with CC outside and CW inside.

kinda like when Best Buy sponsered Stevie's Enchanted tour....so what kind of role does the presenter actually have...financially...etc

I'm sure we'll see SOME TYPE of promotion....My uncle used to work at Best Buy for years, and around 1998 he brought home 5 of the "Stevie Nicks best Buy 2 disc promotional" Cds....I'm sure VH-1 will plug the group somehow....(I.E....Inside Out Special)
