Default Never Listened..

I have to honestly say I have never heard any of Lindsey's solo work before. Could never find his albums in the stores, and never bothered to look for them on youtube or anything. Just never thought it was my cup of tea. I enjoy him more than anything with Fleetwood Mac, and I guess I'm kind of curious now about his solo work.

What are some of his best songs? Where should I start listening?!

Personally I would start with his "Go Insane" album, as it's my favourite.

Go Insane is a great album, personally I think it's a bit "weird" though. Like it's my favourite but some of the stuff on there and the production is pretty weird and not so accessible as Out of the Cradle, which I think in general is considered his best, more like his FM material than the others I say. I haven't heard the more recent stuff well enough to judge but didn't like Law and Order at all, it's a pretty wacky album and I don't really like his wacky FM tunes so that could be why

Haha. Well I'm definitely one who embraces the "wierdness" in Lindsey's music. His new stuff tends to err on the side of caution I think, expecially his Under The Skin album. Don't get me wrong, they're still great. But his experimental approach has always endeared itself to me.

My Two Favs are Out of the Cradle. and Gift of screws. Could never get into his first 2 albums, Law and Order and Go Insane. They just give me a headache. And Under the Skin was a grower. My fav song for the moment....cause it changes.......Is Treason

OH, Go Insane. I heard that song on The Dance, did I not? Okay so I lied, I've heard that one by him. I want the Go Insane album now, I really like the song so if the rest of the album is like that song it would rock

Be warned. The version Of Go Insane on the album is different then the one on the Dance. You may still like it though

Yea The version on the Go Insane album is full band and upbeat. I don't like it at all.......but you should judge for yourself.

I think GOS and OOTC are his best albums. I can listen to either, beginning to end, anytime. I also think they're pretty accessible for new listeners...you know, not too weird, and yet they're still very Lindsey. I think he has a lot to say in both!

As for Go Insane, I LOVE the album, but wouldn't start with it. Both versions of the song are amzing, and I really like them equally. In fact, I wish they weren't the same song so he could play both in the same concert!!

You should hear them ALL in order. And the movie soundtrack stuff as well.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Actually the music stores are the ones crazy for not already having Fleetwood Mac and other stuff on hand!

I only ever come across the "generic" albums, like the latest Greatest Hits, Peter Green's Green Shadows and other Greatest Hits albums of Fleetwood Mac at chain stores. At my local Record Store (very tiny) I've found the occasional one (Got a speciel edition Behind The Mask in a gift box for £4 which was great) but most of the time I have to order from Amazon or HMV online.
