Thumbs down What nightmare!!! My afternoon from hell!

So I leave yesterday morning from MInneapolis at 9, and I'm making good time as I get to Kansas City at 3 PM. That's where the fun ended I get just south of Kansas City on Highway 169, and for the next 7 HOURS I wasnt able to drive more than 40 miles an hour. I got to this godforsaken outpost called Iola Kansas and stopped. At this point it was 6:PM, and it had taken me 3 hours justto get 75 miles from KC. I asked how far it was toi Tulsa, and there was no way I was going to get there in time for the show. So I decided to make my way towards Springfield MO where my friend lives,a dn I made it there by midnight. UGH People, I hope none of you EVER has to drive in conditions like that. I guess I have to look at the bright side, I still get to seem him Fri and Sat. And I made it here in one piece, which was no small task!

Awww, man. That sucks! Sorry that happened. I had friends that were only about 30 miles away that couldn't get to the show and another friend that had been in OKC for the day and the normal 90-minute drive took him 4 1/2 hours. He barely made it. It was best that you kept yourself safe.

You know, these things happen every now and then. It could be worse like you said. I remember back in 2004 with Fleetwood Mac and I was out east when Stevie got sick and they had all those re-schedules and cancellations and I was right in the middle of that too. I'll tell you this much, if I have to F***ING walk, I'm going to Kansas City and St Louis!

David, That sucks about missing the show...That is one reason I hate shows during the winter time, possible traffic issues.

Hopefully LB plays OKC sometime in the Spring...That is if there will be a spring this year...brrrrrrrr!

David, that's horrible! Sorry you had to deal with that. Glad you made is safely there though. I can't imagine how frustrating it was. Hope the other two shows work out perfectly for you.

Thank you. It's ok. I'm pretty much over it now. Tomorrow is another day. Like the song says "Kansas City, Kansas City here I come!"
