Question Besides The Rumors Era ...

Who is yours?

Mine would have to be Tango (TOUR) - BTM, Chris's songs, like Save Me, are great, and her live songs from Tango.

Original era with Peter, Danny, Mick, John and Jeremy out of THOSE choices, but my FAVE non-Rumours era is the Danny, Bob, Christine (Future Games, Bare Trees) era....those two albums, IMO are PERFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't heard enough of anything but I'll go with Bob Welch.

Oh man - I don't know anything - I thought Future Games and Bare Trees were Bob Welch!
Let me get this straight - was there a period where there was no Peter Green or Bob Welch? I never realised Jeremy was the ringleader for a while.

I went with the Tango/BTM lineup. I think Billy and Rick were really a great addition to the band after the Lindsey era was over.

OH JOE!!!! SAY IT AIN'T SO!!! LOL

Future Games and Bare Trees ARE Bob Welch...with Danny and Christine as the main singers/songwriters.

Jeremy, the ringleader? No...never.

YES, there was a no Peter, yes Danny era (Bare Trees, Future Games, Kiln House)...a no Danny, yes Bob era (Mystery to Me and HAHTF).

Is that clear?

Bah - I don't where I pulled Jeremy from - I meant to say Danny. But I think it's back to FM101 for me

So Kiln House is the big limbo album with just Danny as lead, right?

I'm not doing a very good job of trying to pretend I'm not just a Rumours fan

Both Danny & Jeremy share the singing and songwriting duties on 'Kiln House' (the first studio album following Peter Green's departure).

Jeremy was gone and Bob Welch was in for the next album, 'Future Games.'

Following 'Bare Trees,' Danny was also gone, and Bob Weston & Dave Walker were on board for 'Penguin.'

Walker was ousted shortly thereafter, and no new additions were made for 'Mystery To Me.'

Weston was then given the boot (for having an affair with Mick's then-wife, Jenny), and the band recorded 'Heroes Are Hard To Find' as a four-piece.

Bob Welch hung up his hat after that, and a couple of bright-eyed unknowns named Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks then joined the band.

I wonder whatever happened to those kids.

Thanks Johnny and Christy.
Despite my confusion I actually have read bios upon bios of the group - but it doesn't help that I don't have any of the actual music of that period. And let's face it - it's goddman confusing!

The Penguin's "All Together" bio is great. ("All TOgether"? "All as One"? Something like that).

Arrow Joe...

You'd better study up...there's gonna be a TEST on the Evolution of Fleetwood Mac!!

Danny is like Lindsey and Stevie mixed together....his guitar skills are AWESOME and his lyrics are kinda airy-fairy (moreso on his SOLO albums) and also, like Lindsey, Danny liked to la-la-la and do-do-do in his songs and stuff. LOL I love Danny to death!!!!!!!!!!

I voted for the Heroes line up, but any of the various Bob Welch line ups will do. I like them every bit as much as the Rumours line up, in some ways even more so. I also liked the Billy & Rick era too, very underrated although I don't think Billy & Rick were given enough of a chance to show what they could do.

To me the Billy Burnette and Rick Vito era is pure crap without any spark of creativity. As mediocre as the Time thing...
I like the Bob Welsh FM sound very much- especially on the Mystery to me album- so that would be my choice here.
