Wow, I can definitely see why Stevie was inspired by such a place. It's really beautiful.

Looks great! The whole song reminds me of my own Italian summer last year. We stayed in Stresa for a few days, at this place (not as nice, of course, but still a great vacation:

http://www.zaccherahotels.com/it (Tabs 4-8, and Tab 9 was the island off the coast with a huge palace and gardens we spent a whole day in)

I wonder which suite she stayed in. The priciest one for the summer season is $3,400+ a night.

In the iTunes Deluxe thread, Stevie mentions the song was written in Room 102.

A few years ago, I went to Capri for a day (by way of Naples). That area is extremely beautiful so I can see how Stevie was inspired the way she was.

I don't want to look at the pics b/c I don't want it to mess up the image in my head of the apartment from The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone.

It looks a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting, but the interiors of the bedrooms look reallu underwhelming. Quite old fashioned a bland. I was thinking more stone, cream silks and marbles and teracotta.

It's a 12th century Italian villa. It's gorgeous. "All rooms and suites are decorated with hand made Vietri tiles, antique carpets and furniture from the XVIII and XIX centuries. Brass accessories and appliqués. Frette linen and Bulgari amenities, satellite TV, safe, minibar, internet access and I-Pod docking stations."

Ok, My bf and I are going to The Travaasa spa and resort in Austin next week, just to get away. Travaasa is part of the Preferred program that The Palazzo is a part of, and I signed up for some rewards program with them!! How random!
