Default Toronto pics & vid

I won't go into a detailed review song by song, but I will say I enjoyed the show a lot. Looking back 2 days later, I think it was mostly due to our front row seats - the crowd's energy was amazing, and it's just so cool to be that close to the band. It was a good solid performance, and I commented several times to Theresa (Bikerchic) that they all looked & sounded great, Stevie included. She did seem a bit subdued when she wasn't "on" & just hanging in the background, but it's not my impression that she was tired, or sad, or in pain, or pissed off. Just a bit reserved. Her vocals were really nice, I heard a lot more variation in her notes - not sure if it was a better night, or if the youtube audios really are losing that much detail, or if it's because I was right next to a speaker. But I especially noticed it on Dreams - very pretty.

I'm sad that the spontaneous laughter that occurred at an earlier show (when the crowd was so loud they couldn't do the next line in Landslide) has become a scripted moment, as is LB wiping his sweaty face all over her shoulder & hair (barf, btw, sweat is just gross.) So look for those 2 things to happen at future shows But it is what it is. I did notice that when LB said "we're not promoting a new album...yet" mama was stone faced. Didn't move, smile, roll her eyes - nothing. I don't know what to make of that.

Got some OK pics - I had a really bad shadow on Stevie's face from my angle & it was not flattering, so I ditched several pics. Sorry if they're really big, but quite frankly I'm too lazy to resize. I don't think they're that good, but just in case - please don't take/sell/use any of them for anything without asking me first. Thanks.

The lighting really makes the pictures stand out in the one with John and Stevie in the red dress. I also really love that angle on the one with Lindsey and the blue/black background appearing striped behind him.

I just came to post my vids & the thread was closed. I didn't think the pics were that bad. I guess it was a mistake.

Sorry, all I could get was part of IKINW. Security was really good to us, and he told me if any other guys saw me taking vids they'd take the camera so I stopped. I snuck in my guitar-playing clip later.

Turn down your volume on this one - we are loud & excited & very annoying. My hand is the one with the watch on it, Theresa's is the one with the brown sleeve - and she's the one grinning at the end.

And you really don't get a sense of how friggin huge those platforms are until you see them up close like that...

The lighting was cool, but some of my pics ended up being too dark. I used no flash & sports/action mode for most of them. Did a few on Auto mode, but they were blurry of course.

I know. I should really get a life & not share my thoughts & photos, right?

That was during Landslide, when they paused & giggled.

I was worried about the sounds being that close, but it turned out better than I expected.

So, do I understand correctly, you would say you were pleasantly surprised and glad you went?

(I am glad you went!) Thanks for remembering us and sharing.

BTW...How full was the venue?

Any new merchandise?
Yes, Betsy, you read correctly.

Venue was about 2/3 full maybe? It was still only about 1/2 full @ 8pm, so I was worried, but it seemed to fill in. I think some people still assume everyone has an opening band so they don't rush it.

New merch I noted was a travel coffee mug, a tall plastic one with a brown leather sleeve - don't recall hearing about that one before. Theresa bought it. it was $25 Canadian.

I know, I know, I'm just busy & tired.

They did, I'm sure of it. I'll have to watch the vid now. I can't recall exaclty where, but I swear it was before one of the "listen to the wind blow" lines. I thought "whoa, what was that" and saw LB look back at Mick like "whoa, what was that?" It was specifically those 6 notes right before that line.

EDIT: I just watched it & can't hear it either. crap. Did I completely hallucinate it? Maybe it was MOnday Morning? Dammit, now it's going to drive me nuts. It wasn't huge & they got right back into it, I don't think casual fans noticed but some of us up front did & I know LB looked disturbed/annoyed.
