Default Pie fight @Honolulu

Weird video. I don't remember seeing it before. They must have clogged the pipes when they showered. If the date is correct it was during the Tusk tour shows in Honolulu.

I found it. I remembered something about Richard leaving the tour but not the details of his farewell party.

Now that I've read the context, I should say that what I see in the video makes sense. Although it really only makes sense knowinng that was the madness of being Fleetwood Mac in 1980.

At 7:04, is that Christine? kissing whom?

In Hawaii we also said goodbye, with much regret, to Richard Dashut, who was sick of traveling and was leaving the tour. We hated to see him go; for the past five years he had been like the sixth member of band. We gave Richard a huge farewell party that turned into a bacchanal. John Courage went out and bought a Rolex watch, and had it buried in an immense cake. In order to get his watch, we made Dashut crawl through a gauntlet of crew members who drubbed him and taunted him with cruel ditties whose lyrics suggested that he had lost his "ears" and that he would never work in this town again. Then he had to grovel before Fleetwood Mac. When his degradation was complete, we made him swear eternal fealty to the band and gave him his watch after an appalling cake fight that sent us all even my mother, who had flown in from England to join me as a witness to this sorry spectacle to the showers.

I always just remember the pie fight from Richard's goodbye party.
