FLEETWOOD MAC-ON WITH THE SHOW TOUR-LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM,STEVIE NICKS,MICK FLEETWOOD

fleetwood mac 2014 on with the show

To celebrate forty years since forming this line up, Fleetwod Mac is about to embark on a forty date North American tour, doing multiple nights in many of North America’s biggest cities, an unequivocal testament to this specific band’s evergreen starpower. With singer/songwriter/vocalist Christine McVie on board once again, Fleetwood Mac is back to full strength with the mid ’70s line up that made them international superstars, and three of them, singer/songwriter/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, singer/songwriter Stevie Nicks, and band co-founder Mick Fleetwood join us In the Studio on the eve of their North American tour for some of their most popular songs performed live. -Redbeard

She dropped it from the 'Tango' set and it was NEVER played on the OSOTM Tour.

She makes sure Rhiannon always has a good one tour's rest? That's a good one. LOL

So I guess we're not to expect it in the upcoming tour. Let's see how that goes...

Edit: Oooo, they're talking about Tusk next week!

right? She has only skipped it once ever and that was a solo tour. How can she say something like she always gives it a one tour rest?

yeah, it really shocked and almost concerned me that she could make a statement such as this which is almost entirely false. Does she really believe this? I sure hope not.

But a good interview nonetheless. Some different subjects being discussed. It blew me away that Lindsey can't read music. I had no idea.

Ahhhh, so she has dropped it once per tour. Alternating solo and FM. Got it.

But Rhiannon, Gypsy, Dreams, Sara are all classics, they will always be fresh.

Not true. In the last tour, I thought the "fresh-est" of Stevie's songs was Gold Dust Woman. She really went for it on that song, even if some people on here were complaining it was too long. Gypsy desperately needs that acoustic arrangement to give it life again, which could then draw the attention away from Stevie lowering lines of the song to its "new" sound. Dreams might be better this time around with Christine's harmonies back in; the harmonies are really what made the song a classic. And Sara...how can they play it without Lindsey's guitar flourishes, which added so much momentum and direction to the song? That makes me almost as angry as the Sisters of the Moon arrangement they came up with last year. Not knowing their history indeed.

How about adding Christine's keyboard back into Gypsy. Also, Christine's piano is what makes Sara, if it wasn't for that piano riff, Sara would not be so amazingly beautiful. It's the thing I'm looking forward to the most when I see them in October, Christine playing the piano on Sara.

I hope they play Sara too. But I'm not sure, with that leaked set. I'd much rather have that song than Silver Springs, which Christine has played on and has been included in every tour since The Dance.

This interview seems old. Stevie's voice gives it away.

You are right. The only tours that "Rhiannon" has NOT been performed are "Tango" and "Other Side Of The Mirror" tours. Is She losing her memory?? "Rhiannon" has not had a BREAK from the set list since 1989, 25 years ago!! Moreover, the chances that it will be "dropped" from the "On With The Show" set list are 0 %.
