10 Times Mick Fleetwood Made an Epic Face While Drumming

Mick Fleetwood is a drummer for the working class. He mostly taught himself how to play from an early age, and worked to improve himself as he went along in the early days of Fleetwood Mac. He’ll never be known as a virtuoso drummer on par with Neil Peart, but he has always gotten the job done and shown strong chemistry with the rest of the Fleetwood rhythm section.

Aside from his relatively straightforward playing style, Fleetwood is known for his passion and presence while performing on-stage. Confined to seating, drummers can rarely show the kind of charisma Fleetwood does while performing. That passion mostly shines through in Fleetwood’s facial expressions, which at times can be over-the-top.

But watching Fleetwood perform, it’s hard not to get caught up in the infectious energy, especially if you’re belting out a classic like “Dreams” or “Go Your Own Way”. Fleetwood himself has been known in his early days to sing along with songs so he knew how to keep the beat; he never stopped doing it, and it makes his performances that much better.
