I'm going have to say Lindsey......because with Stevie.....Everything after Wild Heart has been.....ummmmmm.....BAD. Sorry folks. I want a great album from her....but my expectations are Low
Lindsey's the opposite. With him....I've loved everything AFTER the first 2 albums....So we'll seeMick

With Dave Stewart on the album, I really have no idea
![]() I really hope that Stevie's is good. TISL is my favorite album, so she definitely has potential. I just don't see much potential in Everybody Loves You. As Louie has said numerous times, that and Cheaper Than Free are so unlike Stevie. Lindsey on the other hand has truly delivered with his past 3 solo albums. I didn't care too much for UTS, but GoS and OoTC are two of the greatest albums ever. |

In general, I prefer Stevie's solo stuff as a whole, but after Wild Heart, she became worse and worse with each album. However, Lindsey has gotten better after those first 2 albums and, after hearing Out of the Cradle and Gift of Screws, I might have to vote for his.

Lindsey. I have never nor will I ever buy a Stevie album unless it's with Lindsey or Fleetwood Mac including Lindsey.

Is it that you don't enjoy Stevie's work as a solo act? I always thought at first that I would be the same about Lindsey's work, as Stevie was my gateway into her own music and the whole Mac scene. But since I heard a few songs from Go Insane I've never been able to look back. I love his work far more than anything Stevie ever did. Maybe it's the work that he puts into it as well as the amazing lyrics and melodic structure. I've great respect for somebody who can work so hard on what they love and reap only the basic rewards because what they love is enough of a reward for them.

Well I will tell you.....I don't what it is. I just love the whole vibe Lindsey's solo work presents.....The lyrics, the studio trickery, the guitar playing. Lindsey's music is an EXPERIENCE. It takes me places Stevie's music simply cannot. Try as she might.

We're missing two choices:
"They'll be equally as good" (which would be my vote) and "they'll both suck". (which WOULD get some votes)

I think Lindsey and Stevie solo are just too different to compare. Lindsey's pretty far left on the experimental trickery, and Stevie's solidly traditional. Lindsey's Out Of The Cradle was better than all Stevie's albums combined, in my opinion. Hell, it was probably better than any of the Rumours Era Mac albums. But you could argue Stevie's solo albums have been more consistent through the years than Lindsey's (for better or worse).
Personally, I'm looking forward to Stevie's new album the most. Mainly because it's been a decade, I'm curious to hear what she has to say, and how she may have evolved as an artist. Secondly, we've heard rumblings that Lindsey's new album will be another acoustic outing... and I'm sorry, but Under The Skin was horrendously monotonous to me. ![]()
