heres the link for the BB6 radio interview broadcast 22.6.11:
Legendary Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks joins Lauren to talk about her new solo album In Your Dreams. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0121ylv Its a 2o minute segment and is quite interesting since Stevie talks about the recoring process of IYD and Lindseys contribution, also how nervous she is before a show. And no mention of money! |

After playing Sara, the host Lauren Laverne said "Absolutely beautiful" and then introduced her as the Queen of Rock-n-Roll.
Stevie said "Everything I write has a little bit of a samba in it." (Referring to Sara) She also said that when Don Henley heard the demo for Sara he said it was "Almost acceptable in it's 16-minuteness." ![]()

That was great. It was nice hearing her talk with such enthusiasm. When asked what's next, she says she'll "ride this train until it runs out of gas." Does that possibly mean she will tour? She notes that Lindsey is putting out an album, so she has some time to do whatever.
Once Lindsey is done with his tour, she says they (Fleetwood Mac) will likely tour or record an album. I hope they will record an album, then tour. Tours without an album to promote are redundant and fleeting. I want to have some new Fleetwood Mac music. I imagine that a new album will --with an outsider producer-- be much more lively ( and less insular) than Say You Will.

Click on the full show link, at the top of the page "Listen now - 180 minutes." Then skip to about the 1:41:00 mark. It starts after the DJ plays "Sara." Stevie starts by talking about how she's the one playing piano on the track because Christine couldn't get it right.
![]() And actually, she does talk a fair amount about money in the beginning!

Did anyone else catch and are THRILLED that she said if Fleetwood Mac doesn't want to do anything next year she would start making another album!!! She said the options are Fleetwood Mac album or just another Fleetwood Mac tour or she starts on another solo album. I guess I'd want the mac to make an album, but if they just tour I'd rather that plans with them just fall thru.

Wouldn't that only be an option if Dave was available and up for it, though? She seems quite dependent on him, which concerns me a bit, as he's always got so many other irons in the fire.

Howdy fellow fans I have been out of the country for sometime and just tried to download the interview file from sendspace but it has been deleted already :-(. I was wondering if there was an iddy bitty chance it could go up again.
Much appreciated. |

it was interesting to hear her say that she can't draw in 18,000 people or play staples center. she's thrilled to play hard rock calling.
