For some reason - This announcement was a shock! The opening night cancelled

Hope this is not an omen for the H & S tour

Rod must have been feeling real BAd... or perhaps his insistence & stubborn stance to NOT rehearse caught up with him

The flu can really keep ya down :/ I know there's the 'show must go on' mentality, but when I had the flu I was stuck in bed for a week.. Rod's nearly fifty years my senior, so I don't doubt that itcould be bad enough to cancel.

In October 1987, Stevie performed pretty wonderfully at the Houston Tango concert. The next morning, the Austin concert was canceled, "due to Ms. Nicks' bronchitis" and that she felt it had hindered her Houston performance. ??? I thought she was marvelous in Houston! So, I guess bronchitis and the flu can wipe you out.

Luckily, the Austin concert was rescheduled for December 1987, and it was a blast, too!

I am so sorry to read this. Sorry to ALL you guys that made the effort and spent all the money to be there.

Hopefully this thing won't spread through the whole band.

On the positive side, at least anybody that won't see Stevie on this tour can look forward to the In Your Dreams tour this summer

A real bummer for Rod fans, though.

He must be pretty sick for them to cancel an entire show. Bleh.

There are people that paid just to see Rod. Or BOTH. It sucks. Refunds coming. Maybe they can reschedule it. But it's really bad to bow out of opening night, especially for those that are coming a distance.

I just called my friend, Sherrie, who is driving (sorry, WAS driving) down to Florida from Indiana today. She was just outside of Atlanta when I called to inform her of the bad news. She is SOOOOOOOO mad right now.
