Not to burst your bubble or anything but a petition isn't going to get her into the Hall. Two reasons for this, 1) The people that go in are decided by a panel at the Hall and 2) Stevie is already in the hall as a member of Fleetwood Mac. The only artists that get in as both a member of a group and as a solo are those who's impact as a solo artist has either equaled or surpassed that of the impact they had with the group. To get an idea of Stevie's status when was the last time she was introduced somewhere (outside of her concerts) where she's not referred to as "Member of Fleetwood Mac Stevie Nicks...." In contrast when was the last time you heard "And now from the Beatles, Paul McCartney..."?
If Stevie had left Fleetwood Mac completely in 1981 and went off on her own, then she would probably be considered, but her solo success was helped by her involvement with the band. Case in point, had "The Dance" not been the success it was, it's doubtful that "Enchanted" or even "Trouble In Shangri-La" would have done well. People know Stevie first and foremost as a member of Fleetwood Mac. As far as the Hall goes, she's already in there.
Pat Benatar, Ann & Nancy Wilson, Joan Jett, and other women will make it in before Stevie goes in as a solo artist and rightfully so.

Just to let you know my bubble hasn't been burst! This is mostly a fan page and in my opinion she does deserve to be there as a solo artist.

I agree Ann & Nancy Wilson and Heart deserve this title as well!

Stevie solo career alone was just as substantial if not more so, than any of the women you mentioned.
>Stevie earned Grammy nominations for 5 out of 6 of her solo recording as well as her video performance at Red Rocks.
>She racked up 5 multi-platinum/platinum albums and 3 gold albums to date.
>She was consistently racking up Top 10 albums & Top 20 singles throughout the decade of the 80's which extended into 3 very successful & extensive solo tours.
>Stevie is in an exclusive minority of the very few to have a consistent & successful solo career apart from their iconic bands, even out-selling men such as Mick Jagger & Robert Plant, I think Phil Collins is only more successful in that arena.
>She is the only one still signed to a major label out of all her contemporaries & still outselling all of them on the road.

These are just a few (off the top of my head) bullet points that outline why I think she deserves to be inducted as a Solo Artiste! Not to mention she remains a pop-culture phenom that lives on, with references of her songs/image or fashion being cited in fashion magazine's or random Stevie-isms in movie or television programs. Even having said all that, I still think it's a long shot because she has already been inducted with Fleetwood Mac. However, if she makes enough of a splash with her upcoming solo recording & Dave's documentary, she may be re-considered to be inducted sooner than later......we'll have to wait & see.

I'm more bothered that Stevie is not in here:

http://www.songwritershalloffame.org/

Stevie has said that her songwriting is where she's proudest, & I think there's a strong case for her to be in the company of Joni, CSN&Y, & Bon Jovi, who are all in.

Mama definitely deserves to be in the Hall as a solo artist. What she accomplished as a female artist alone should put her there, her FM accomplishments not withstanding. There truly is no one else like her.

Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just telling you how the Hall of Fame works. They put people like ABBA and Madonna in before people like Alice Cooper or Heart. So the odds of Stevie getting in on her own are very slim when you think the way the Hall does.

Don't forget about how Black Sabbath was on the ballot 7 times, and after that, Ozzy told them to stop putting them on it cause he didn't wnat any more disappointment. Or the uproar caused by Moody Blues not getting in (to think The Story In Your Eyes and I'm Just A Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band) are not rockin' songs should be taken into the backyard and shot). Basically what I'm saying is that it would be nice to see Stevie in there as a solo artist, but at the same time, the HoF has gotten majorly lame, so we shouldn't feel that bad if she doesn't get in.
