Lol. I have a random thought: which one would be worse to play at a wedding when you realize what it was written for: You Making Loving Fun or All My Love by Led Zeppelin (Robert Plant wrote the lyrics for his young son, who had died of a stomach infection)

Well neither would be good wedding material, but All My Love, without doubt, would be worse given the subject matter!

For whatever reason when I saw "Wedding" my mind read "Funeral". So now I sitting here thinking how awful it would be for "You Make Loving Fun" to accidently be playing at a funeral instead of some Celine Dion or Sarah McLachlan song!!!

Funeral...I've often jokingly said I'd play I Will Survive or the Led Zeppelin song In My Time of Dying (sorry, I'm a Zephead)

such a great idea ! (btw, i adore "All my love", and the fact that it's written for his son makes it even more beautiful..., i'm a bit sensitive !)

All My Love is like one of only 2 or 3 worthwhile song on In Through the Out Door, buty you know what's another great song in that vein? Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton

Oh okay, i don't know much about Clapton's music, but if you say it's good, i'll give it a try . I have a question...do you like "Fool in the Rain" ? My sister argues that it's a bad song, and she's a huge Led Zep fan.

Edit : Tears in Heaven is beautiful. I forgot that Clapton's such a great guitarist.

Yeah, Fool in the Rain is good. The third worhtwhile tune on ITTOD is In the Evening, but it's a strange version of In the Light from Physical Graffiti, which I love to pieces.

Fool in the rain is amazing, i love it, especially when it gets Brasilian. I've never listened to "In through the out door", except for some songs. But Physical Graffiti, and therefore "In the Light" are just excellent.

Physical Graffiti, White Album, Tusk, The Wall...which double album do I like more?

What are your thoughts on II?

TUSK

II isn't my favorite. I'm not into those songs enough (i mean, there's none of my favorites), except for Whole Lotta Love, and Bring it on Home, obviously. But it is, for me, the real beginning of Led Zep's sound (you know, the riffs, loud drums, and everything). I mean, it has Whole Lotta Love, which is THE ultimate Led Zeppelin song (Stairway to Heaven doesn't count ). What do you think?

I couldn't think of my favorite Led Zeppelin album. There are all great, but there's always one or two songs i don't like. I guess it's why i'm just a casual fan.
