Default Angel and Sisters of the Moon - live from Tusk tour

Hi All,

I know there have been some live recordings (soundboard recordings I guess) from various tours over the years and I used to have some of Angel and SOTM on my old computer. So again (as in my Dreams post) would anyone mind uploading some of the live Angel and SOTM cuts from the Tusk tour if you have them? I'm looking for the more professional recordings - I know they are out there somewhere.

Thanks in advance!

Travis

Is there a Gold Dust Woman available from this show? If so could you post that one too please?

Thanks!

I swear, that performance of SOTM is seriously one of the best EVER. I never get tired of seeing/hearing that version. Goose bumps every time!

All of the concert performances featured on that video, including this one, are as I call it "audience response enhanced." This means that additional audience roars and applause were sampled and added to the mix to enhance the excitment. It's so obvious and overdone. That's the one thing that I never liked about the video.

Okay, so I just reread my original post and I totally should have said "famous" haha oops but anyways... yeah, the Tusk part where she's working out Angel and then the live performance of it with Lindsey where they sing at the mic together and he puts her hand on her back and head and they look so darn happy!

Here's another video of it, with a little extra stuff:

GDW was never performed on the Tusk and Mirage tours .I guess they switched it out for SOTM on these tours and once GDW returned SOTM would never be seen again .I'm thinking it was due to the similar structure of the 2 songs.

I always thought that Fletwood Mac became more aware that GDW became a classic rock radio staple and that's why they started performing it again starting in 1997. It was never a single so basicly it was ignored before that.
Strangely enough Don't Stop was not performed at the height of the Rumours Tour popularity. Technically it wasn't released as a single until 1978 but was greatly featured as a hit on the Tusk Tour.

GDW was played on the Rumours tour and Stevie opened with it on The White Winged Dove and Wild Heart tours. There is no doubt that GDW is much more a mainstay of classic rock radio than SOTM which only recieved airplay in late 1979 through mid 1980.Fleetwood Mac began to perform GDW again on the Tango tour.Don't Stop was a single in 1977, it reached number 3 on Billboard's pop singles chart in August of that year.

The 1987 live configuration always played it, though, & again in 1990. Even the 1994-95 live configuration played it.

Yes, that was weird about that.

Did you think it was weird then, or only in retrospect?

At the time, were you (general "you" meaning you or Chili or someone else who was a fan at the time) going, "why aren't they playing Don't Stop??

Michele
