Default Do any of you avoid reading the setlist...

before you go to a Mac show? Since we all know that they rarely, if ever, make changes to their setlists during any one leg of a tour, (and when they do, the changes usually involve taking out only one song and putting in another), reading the setlist before going to a show pretty much spoils the fun. The problem is that if you don't want to know, you have to take DRASTIC steps such as avoiding great sites like this one! Part of me wants to get on line right after the first show to get the set list, and another part of me really wants to try to avoid doing anything Mac-related online until I go to the show in May. What do you all do? How do you avoid finding out the set lists, if indeed you do?

Also, though this is only tangentially related, I really don't think that the set list for this tour will be much different from any other tour, except that instead of playing the requisite 4-5 songs from the new CD, they'll play some older, less played songs, or possibly a few new ones. They ALWAYS play their hits. When have they ever NOT played their hits? The only non-Christine hits (or non hits but beloved live songs) that they haven't played on the SYW tour or the Dance tour was Seven Wonders and Sara (and they did play that on the 2nd leg of the SYW tour). I think that labeling it "The Hits" is just a way of trying to sell tickets. Monday Morning got some airplay, but it wasn't a hit, yet they're playing that. I would be ecstatic if they didn't play Dreams or Go Your Own Way or Tusk or Rhiannon and played a bunch of lesser known songs, but we all know that will never happen regardless of what moniker they attach to the tour. So my bet is that it's going to be a pretty standard F Mac show, will 4-5 rare/rarish/brand new songs thrown in the mix to take the place of the songs from the new CD that they're not making. But hopefully I won't know for sure until I go!

I avoided Lindsey's second solo tour setlist. I wanted to be surprised.

With this upcoming FM tour, I want to know it all so I'm not expecting something I won't get.

I can't NOT look at setlists. If the setlist is set in stone for each show, I like to know it in advance so I can know what's coming up and sufficiently prepare myself.

There are a few regular touring acts I follow who play a different setlist every night, such as Bob Dylan and the Dave Matthews Band, and I know there are fans in both camps who avoid looking at setlists in the days before going to shows so they don't know what songs are in rotation. I think that's going too far.

I didn't look at the setlist for Stevie's tour last year and it was really nice to be surprised by a few things. For Unleashed, I will have to look, even though I'm going to see them in April. I'll just be too damn curious!

I fastidiously avoid setlists. And I've found it's a better experience for me when I do.

Of course I got myself Pittsburgh tickets so it wouldn't matter for this tour, haha.

I am just a curious person and have to know and usually by the time they come around to where I am seeing them, they have been known to drop a song or two that I was looking forward to hearing. I try not to get my hopes up but inquiring minds want to know!

I didn't look at the LB setlist. I wanted to be surprised. I still read the Ledge daily, I just avoided certain threads. Now, however, I won't have to worry about that; the first show is here in my home city. Yay.

Unless someone puts the spoiler info in the thread title, one of my biggest pet peeves.

If I'm going to one of the first shows, I try to avoid knowing the set list beforehand. However, they're not making it to Texas until the second leg, and this is the hits tour, I'm not expecting too many surprises.

I'm so pathetic that I check message boards from crap Reality TV that I watch to find out what happens before the shows air here.

As far as the Mac goes, I'd rather get my disappointment out of the way in advance instead of hoping they actually add anything new.

Do I avoid reading the setlist? Not really, since I will be trading the audio/DVD's of the earlier tour shows before I actually see 'em in concert myself.

For this tour, yeah. If it's all the same, Rhiannon, I'm not bothering. If I see them switching it up a little, I'll consider going.

So is there any word yet as of the COMPLETED setlist or are we all still going by Stevie's confirmation and our own guesses?
