Default Meet And Greet With Mick!!!

I decided, once I figured out how, to post this question: What should I say to Mick Fleetwood once I meet him? All suggestions welcome. I am so psyched!!! It was a bit of money, but I hope it will be worth it!

I don't know, but you'll have a few chances to get it right, right?

Default Get it right...

Well, I want to say something... I don't want to look like a goober, lol. I am a relatively small person. Just standing next to him makes me think I will go stupid because tall people intimidate me, to a degree.

Be prepared for a huge man. He is like 6'5 and must weigh about 220. He is a BIG man. I am 6'2 and he was much taller than me. I was a couple feet from him once in Boston as he was coming off an airplane. I was so intimidated by his size and my fandom that I kinda froze.

To answer your question though I always think that a hello nice to meet you and thank you for all the great music over the years is the best easiest comment to make.

I am gonna have to agree... I have this idea of him, because of videos and pictures, that he is like a REGAL-Lunatic... IN A LEGENGARDY sort of way, lol. I thought that I would make note that their work has always been a part of my life. Thank him for the opportunity and wish the best for the band on their travels. (Our show is the 3rd, or 4th stop.) What do ya think?

Well you could be like the Queen of England (to Eric Clapton I think?)

"So what do you do?"

"I'm a musician"

"Have you been doing that for long?"

It is funny that you said that. Recently, I watched a documentary on her and there was a segment where they discussed her, "conversation routine." It was hilarious, "And what do you do? How long have you been doing that? Has it turned out the way you thought that it would?" I thought I would pull somehting along those lines, but he would be like, "And you call your self a fan? You know nothing about me." lol

Ironically, I found the documentary VERY interesting! Initially, I thought that it was going to bore me to tears.

My first thought was "how can we convince Christine to rejoin the band?", but since this is more impossible than the ABBA reunion.. a more realistic question could be...

Can you convince your partners to play songs never played live before? (Tango in the night, Storms, etc..)

and of course ask for a picture with him!! I like Mick in spite of all that stuff I have read about him ($)

See, I haven't read anything about Mick, as it relates to his greed... or even his general vibe. If you know of some reading material I would find interesting... i would appreciate you sending it on to me.

I will definitely get a pic! Beyond that, I am good with our Pre-show DRINKS! lol

Okay don't everyone yell at me...... I'm a little lost........ Mick said he would do meet and greets for the ILAA packages??? Figures!! I've done the fan club thing for 1 FM show and ILAA for the Stevie and Don show...... both were front row seats which was very cool. I got ripped off and never received my signed tourbook I was suppose to get through the fan club deal. Other than that they were kind of cool but nothing spectacular other than being in front row For the FM one we got to go on a backstage tour but didn't see anyone in the band. Got to see the outside of the tour buses, got to see Micks vest up close and Stevies mic........ got to see a bunch of their tour cases--Lindseys had about 20 white shirts in it...... Stevie's wasn't open......... for the Stevie/Don deal we got dinner and they raffled off a bunch of stuff. I won the signed Tambourine so that was DEFINITELY worth it!! Ummmm...... as everyone knows the special goody for the Stevie show was the pen set and candles........ Don's drummer came out and said hi and signed autographs for people which was kind of cool but I didn't know him from Joe!! LOL!! Got the lanyard tour pass thingys for both and a special tee shirt for the FM one...... I think that is about it. They were both fun and I got to meet some nice people--would I do it again?? Yeah probably if I had the money this time around--am I going to do it this time--nope!! Definitely can't afford it So it freakin' figures there may be a meet and greet this time!! UGH!

As for taking pictures--if you are going to the Auburn Hills show good luck.... they are kind of strict there. It isn't impossible but they do check for them and yell at you if they see you..... I got escorted out at a Guns N Roses show for trying to take pics there and had to check my camera in and couldn't get it back until after the show. But maybe that is because of the group......... I did get some pics during FM's SYW tour there but also did get yelled at when I got caught. I'm thinking you should be good for the backstage stuff though. Anyways--have a great time and we all want to hear full reports back!! I will be at the show just not doing a package deal. Just for comparison........ I met Tesla for $250 in October.... that included soundcheck--autographs--pics with the whole group and being able to hang out a little with the band........ got a decent tote bag with their newest DVD and their last 2 CDs and a photo for them to autograph which is cool because since they autograph it right in front of you you know they are real. Their show was general admission so the VIP people got to enter the venue first and be in the front--and they totally allow cameras and could care less if their fans take pics and record so I also got a bunch of pics that night......so if anyone from the FM front is reading this--for the money they are charging you would think you would get a little more........

Ok, I totally agree with what you are saying. I think that if you pay HUGE money let us say like, "$1,800+" you should get a little something extra. Honestly, I would never have gotten to experience all of the mac greatness that I have if it were not for my beau. I grew up in a REALLY small town in SE KY and spent all my time listening to FM thinking: There IS more to life. I CAN BE MORE. I know how sad that may sound to you all, but it was all I had to get me through all the prejudice and violence I had to face. So I met this wonderful person who has helped me build my hopes and dreams and my dreams included: BEING REALLY CLOSE AT A FM CONCERT. MEETING STEVIE, which I have, and MEETING MICK. I get to do that now.

Do you think that this show may face problems because of weather? I heard that weather in MICHIGAN in MARCH is horrible. I fear that my dreams may NOT come true because of weather, yuck.

P.S.
IF any of you know anyone at iloveallaccess.com tell them that your friend, Kenny is really wanting to be front row. Just once.

Well, I'm glad he had a lot of shirts. That takes a load off my mind. It would have been nice if you could have seen Stevie's opened.

Thanks for telling us what you got. I think they might sell more packages if they assured people they would get a front row seat like you did.

That is not always the case. I got tickets from Tom Petty's fan club and only got 10th row off to the side. People ended up getting the first 5 center rows the day of the show. I am sorry but if I ever fork over big bucks I better know where I am going to be seated.
