After five months, a billion polls, threads, and discussions, we arrive to the finals in the favorite non-hit song contest.

Four songs made the finals - Why, Second Hand News, Silver Springs, and Storms. Vote for your favorite song. The song with the most votes wins. This is it Ledgies!

OH DEAR.

Silver Springs is going to win, you just know it.

But I'm gonna go with Storms, because (and I know we already had a huge debate about this) to me personally, I don't view Silver Springs and Secondhand News as non-hits.

i loooooooove it. but i also love SS. yet i feel like it was a "hit" since the video and song were ALL over radio, MTV and VH1 in '97

I'm still unsure why Silver Springs is even on this poll. It was arguably the biggest "hit" from The Dance. It introduced a new generation to Fleetwood Mac, and was a VH1 sensation. I may be a little miffed at the fact that Why has no chance, but still, this seems a little ridiculous.

Because these polls are based on non-hits, that we voted on per album. This poll reflects the winners. "Silver Springs" from The Dance was a hit. The original version that was left off Rumours, was the "B" side to the single GYOW, was not a hit. The original version is what is included in this poll.

Yeah, even the original... aside from the cult status it's gotten due to the story of it, it's immense popularity,my mom knows it from the radio when she was a youngster (and this is someone who thought that Lindsey sung all of Christine's songs... ALL of them )....

idk, I had to rationalize in some way not voting for it because it IS flawless. I just feel like it's the same as calling the White Album version of Landslide a 'non-hit.'

Thanks, CADreaming. You said it just the way I see it.

Now if we ever get around to doing a "Favorite Fleetwood Mac Live Performance" contest, obviously "Silver Springs" from the Dance would be included. Of course watch it not win that contest, even though everybody goes on and on about how great it is!!

Anyway, please judge this poll according to the original Rumours B-Side version of Silver Springs.

i'm with everybody who says Silver Spring and Second Hand News should have never been a part of the non-hits poll. but i was over-argued over and over again, so no need to start the same old argument again.

Why - I find it awesome that it has made it so far all the way to the finals and that it's Christine only song here...its like the "Little Engine That Could"

Second Hand News - one of my top favorite Lindsey songs; nice saucy lyrics!

Silver Springs - its okay; too sweet and bouncy sounding; not a favorite Stevie or Mac song

Storms - I fall in and out of love with this one all the time. Right now I love it!

What's your take on these songs? Suprised by any songs that lost along the way in the contest?
