Default Styx

A friend of mine is taking me to see them tomorrow night in Rochester Minnesota, and He knows the tour manager so hopefully we'el be able to meet them backstage before the show. I went with him to see them at our state fair and I'll say this; I had them pegged for alot of these totally washed up bands Like REO SPeedwagon that have like NO ONE almost from their original lineup. But they Kicked ass!!! I really wanna meet Tommy Shaw and Lawrence Gowan. I've heard they're really nice guys. WHo else likes them BTW?

I like Styx. They were the "****" back around '80. I'm sure "Babe" was the prom song for many back then.

Oh, I'm sure of that. Like I said, Lawrence Gowan does a great job on Dennis DeYoung's parts

They are OK. I have seen them several times (there is usually some buy one get one free lawn ticket deal when they play here...so why no?) with REO and Bad Company, a couple others. The only songs they have that I REALLY like are Renegade and Crystal Ball. THe other ones I can take or leave.

i wish I had seen Journey back in the Steve Perry days. Thats one of those bands that, for me, isn't really Journey anymore. Like this new Queen without Freddie? Hogwash!
