Favorite "and" song

[vermicious knid]

Stevie is very productive, and sometimes she can't limit herself to one subject per song. So, she will occasionally give us not one, but two people, places, or things per song. How generous! (She hates to leave us without a variety of things to enjoy) To do this she uses the conjunction "and". Which one is your favorite?

Honestly, you are my West Coast twin.

Oh that was harsh I love everyone of those songs, so I ended up just voting for Beauty and the Beast because it was first on the list

We would be too fabulous at a Stevie show together. Or scary.

Me too! But you left off:

waaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH YEAH!!!

And I've always loved the demo version that was used in Against All Odds. The director also talks about it briefly in the commentary track.

What did he say about it?

It was the usual, "Great rock song. Great artist..." stuff. I rented the DVD years ago, so can't remember exactly. I think there's also a tiny bit about how she came to contribute the song to the movie, but it's something about who knew who and which of those who's contacted Stevie's manager. (did that even make sense??? )

Back during the RAL days, I heard a rumour that Stevie was actually supposed to be *in* the movie, performing the song on stage. But she was too ... well, we all know how Stevie was in the early '80s. And that had something to do with why the alt version of the song was used in the movie. But, just a rumour. Who knows?

I thought the same thing.

My vote goes to G & B, but only the HBO concert one, not the Enchanted Tour one.

"take your violet and blue mornings....WITH YOU!!! Oooooooohhhhhh!!"

[SapphireSister]

There is NO possible way I can pick between BATB and OMBTRARS! It would simply kill me so I'm voting for both.

Violet and Blue. Love the "with a touch of your hand, it starts again...waaaaaaah, yeah!" line so much. I always wonder exactly where she was touched with that hand

Continuing the theme of being weird kids, I was an obsessive Kate Bush fan as a kid. i would watch her greatest hits video all the time, and I can still enact the entire "Wuthering Heights" dance routine given enough floorspace Everyone thought I was nuts.

My mother hated FM so Stevie was not a part of my childhood, but I am sure that if I had seen her on tv as a kid I'd have been grabbing the nearest tablecloth and twirling about. Hell, that happens now sometimes and I'm 22!
