Default Saturday Night Stevie

Just wanted to say that I haven't seen Stevie sing like that in years.
I was at both Friday and Saturday's shows and while I was apprehensive at first about the set list, let me justg say that it was unlike anything she has ever done, just like she said it would be.
Celine's theater is quite beautiful.
Stevie's stage was built up so it wasn't at an angle.
I love the new Dreams remix and hope she plans on releasing it.
The band was tighter than all get out and Waddy was particularly fun to watch, as I was closer to him on Saturday. He played with much flair and towards the end of the show Stevie looked at him for a long time and for a moment she reminded me of how she looked at the end of Rhiannon in the Bella Donna tour video.
Mick was spotted in the audience.
The high kick was back at the end of Stand Back.
She sang the bejesus out of Outside The Rain.
She talked about what a sexy, glamorous time it was when Sorcerer was written and when "they" joined Fleetwood Mac.
Gold Dust Woman had new lyrics at the end. "I can't see you anymore baby..." or something similar to that.
If Anyone Falls was so spectacular, especially with the harmonies at the end, I literally had chills. This song kicked ass!
The boots came out for Edge and I Need To Know.
How Still My Love was augmented by Stevie doing the hula. Yes folks the hula and she did it perfectly. It reminded me a little of the way she used to dance during Rhiannon.
Beauty And The Beast was breathtaking, with the stunning dress, the video behind her and most of all, Stevie's flawless vocal. As I said, I haven't seen her perform with this much intensity in a long, long time.
She told Jessica Nicks from the stage, "This is what you mother gave up to have you."
Her introduction of Carlos was touching, saying he stood by her when she couldn't even stand.
The Edge walk saw lots of hand shaking and kisses.
I'm glad I made the trip and if she plays like this again, I will not hesitate to go see her again.
Stevie Nicks the rock star was back in full force at the Caesar's Palace Colosseum last night.

Thanks for the review, I was dying to know what happened! Shoot! I knew Mick would be there sometime, sorry I missed him. Nice touch to say that to Jessica. Was anything else special and different? Was the crowd quiet or loud during BATB? Did she say anything special because it was her last night? Did you see her gambling?
Thanks again
BTW, you looked fab on Fri.

Saturday's show was one of Stevie's best performances. I ran into Mick Fleetwood in the aisles leading to exit after the show and told him Fleetwood Mac needs to get back in the studio for a new album. He kind of laughed and hustled out the door.
It was too bad many fans need to yell out at Stevie during quiet songs like How Still My Love and Beauty and the Beast. Kind of spoils the moment.
Stand Back rocked, lots of twirls and the leg kick was back in force.
Looked like a sell out with hardly any empty seats. Security was very lax about cameras and many people were snapping away the entire concert.

Thanks for the rundown, darling. Sounds like a great show and hopefully a boot will surface in the near future!

Thank you sweetheart. Strandie saw her gambling at Caesar's. She told everyone to go out and have a good time at the end of the show. She said Waddy drives the band "like a Porsche."
I thought her drummer was pretty incredible too.

I hope so. Like I said, I haven't seen her like this in a long time.

Goddamit! hokay, stay calm....breathe...hokay, I'm over strandie's Stevie sighting... I was in Caesar's, like, all the time before that. But okay.
That's cute, Waddy driving the band like a Porsche. Love it. Did you guys win anything? You didn't go out with Strand? (guess not). Glad you had a good time. Sorry for no proper goodbye's, but you were a sweetheart, it was a pleasure to meet you.

Describe more of the band, Chris. Crucial similarities, differences between last week & last solo tour?

When you say harmonies, do you mean the ending from '83/'91 is there this time too? And did they break for the sax solo, a la '91?

You mean the DiFabrizio boots? I figured by now she had thrown them out.

Has she altered the lead vocal arc on this song in any way that you could notice?

No. Except that it sounded even better than before. Sesly, her voice is getting better. It's quite amazing.

Ahhh and again, another happy customer. I'm so glad you guys got a chance to see it and had a great time. I'd be there in a heartbeat if she performs again in October pending i'm able to. How were your seats? My understanding was that more of the show was comped out over the weekend (not that there was a bad seat in the house).

Thanks for the info, did they add any further merchandise beyond the brown/black t-shirts?

She was in a private room and Strandie being Strandie managed to find her.

Well, I'll do the best I can in my layman's terms. Scott Plunkett played a grand piano.
Waddy played with just a little more flair than usual. He was really having a good time and a few times I wished they would have turned him up just a bit more.
I really like the new drummer, who was in plexiglass and used what appeared to be a smaller than average kit. He and the percussionist did a nice little back and forth before Edge.
Tuggle played the Hammond B3 and acoustic guitar.
I think the biggest difference was in the intensity of Stevie herself.
Al Ortiz also did a nice job recreating john's bass line on Rhiannon.

There was no sax (I'm glad because I never really cared for that). They finished off with the four girls singing acapella. I'm going to have to go back and listed to the boots now to see how similar that ending was.
The backing vocals, especially the "in the back of you miiiiind" part were very precise. Sharona, Lori and Jana owned that and they knew it.

No, they weren't the huge old platforms but the lower heel black suede version with the leg warmers over them (also black) but I will take them over the clodhoppers anyday.
