Greetings, everyone. I posted a mention of how radio stations are doing March Madness tournaments featuring bands and it got me thinking (during the course of a LONG, BORING day at work) that we should do one with Mac songs! So here's how this works... FIRST of all, decide if you want to play. If you don't, then click 'back' and just ignore this thread. If you DO, then read on!
I've taken every song (I'm pretty sure) from the white Fleetwood Mac album, Rumours (including Silver Springs), Tusk, Mirage, Tango in the Night and The Dance. I've got braquets (with a long, painful process of matching up songs) for the main 64. Once I post them, I'll have each of you reply with your choices to move on into the next round (so one post with ALL your choices, to make it easy on me to tally em). After a while (hopefully 1 day's time, give or take) I'll post the results and we can begin the next round. In the end, only ONE FLEETWOOD MAC SONG will remain, the winner. The total came to 72 songs - which means we're 8 over. So first we must wrap up a brief qualifying round for the 8 leftovers (because I don't want to just cut ones off without giving them a fair shot). I took 1 song from each album (2 from each singer) and then added in 1 extra Lindsey song (since he has a lot more than Christine/Stevie) and thew in Farmer's Daughter because it seemed to me like a logical, group-representational choice. The winner of this mini-braquet will be seeded #1 in one of the main braquets later on. So your reply should have your four choices for who moves on in these match-ups... (NOTE = Ranks are irrelevant. I just tried to space out the songs equally by songwriter/album. No complaints! I'm not trying to cheat...) #1 Sweet Girl #8 Empire State =========== #4 Sugar Daddy #5 Family Man =========== #3 I Don't Wanna Know #6 Honey Hi =========== #7 Farmer's Daughter #2 My Little Demon .

Sweet Girl over Empire State
Sugar Daddy over Family Man Honey Hi over I Don't Wanna Know Farmer's Daughter over My Little Demon I'll post my comments in small font... Anything has to be better than "Family Man", even that uneven song that "Sugar Daddy" is; the other ones were quite obvious except for taking away "I Don't Wanna Know" which is funny; I picked up "Honey Hi" just because of those harmonies.
