Default The Brilliance of "Don't Stop"?

After hearing "Gypsy" today on the radio on my way home from work, when I walked in the door home I grabbed my quickest FM fix which was Greatest Hits. "Don't Stop" came on, and I must say ever since the whole Clinton Thing (And please don't get me wrong. I LOVED Wet Willie. Those years were the greatest of my life...) But anyway, ever since THAT thing I've always regarded "Don't Stop" as WAY saccharin... But after hearing it today with emotional ears I think it should be mandatory listening for every suicidal mental patients therapy. What do YOU think?

I'm kind of tired of the song, but it indeed has a positive message and has cheered me up on more than one occasion.

It's a kick-ass song.

I'm just burnt out on Rumours. In a few years, I'll be back on track with it.

Are you making a reference my teenage years?!

Yes, a very upbeat cheery song. I've maybe heard it way too many times but once in awhile I appreciate it w/ new ears.

BTW my daughter Brittany (almost 8) loves Don't Stop. She is in quite an FM stage right now, loves to hear/watch The Dance. She told me yesterday that she had a dream where she formed a band, and then FMac came and asked her if she and her band wanted to join up w/ them.

Wow that's an awesome dream!

Dont' Stop can be pretty inspirational to me if I hear it at the right time. And sometimes it annoys me and I just want them to get to GYOW.

This is one of my least favorite Mac songs. Cloying and boring _ and WAY overexposed.

Now, isn't ALL of Rumours? Onstage, they still act like it's their latest album.

I used to play it trazillion times during puberty (25) years ago. especially at the heartbreak-moments and deep puberdepressions about unfulfilled loves....
It always gave me positive spirit. I don't like it so much now. But I still can't get loose from the ultimate positive powers and effects that song has in itself.

it simply helped me.

It's been helpful lots of times, really. The lyrics are bright and simple, and I love that fact. The sparkling arrangement only inforces that healing power. Possibly one of the most optimistic songs ever heard.

"Don't Stop" is one of my favorites... though I'm usually afraid to admit it around here, given all the grief I already get over loving "When I See You Again"!

Not to sound all hippy-dippy and metaphysical, but it's always been one of the rare songs that "comes to me" when I need it most, and brightens my day.

I know that it's extremely over-exposed, even in comparison to the rest of the 'Rumours' tracks, but if you just listen to it, and appreciate it for what it is, it's a pretty terrific song. Really rhythmic and upbeat, with a great groove to it.
