Default Fleetwood Mac News on the Radio

I was just at the gym listening to Big 100.3, an oldies station in the Washington D.C. area. The DJ was introducing "Don't Stop" and mentioned how FM just wrapped up the Say You Will tour and how there is more big news about them.

First, she said that Mick was promoting his new album (ok, we already knew that). She also said that Lindsey is in the studio working on his solo album (come on Lindsey, don't let us down...). AND FINALLY (hope this isn't old news) she said that there are talks of FM doing a summer tour with the Eagles!!

Well, to me, this is good AND bad. First of all, I would LOOOVVE to see FM on tour again (wouldn't we all?). Secondly, I like the Eagles (not nearly as much as FM, but hey, they're alright). BUT, this means we'll be competing with those crazy Eagles fans for good seats. Plus, I don't know if I'll ever climb out of the debt I'm in from the SYW tour.

Anyway, just thought I'd pass on that little tidbit.

And tickets start at only $999.95, for the lawn seats!

Yeah, it would be a good show, but they say a lot of things on the radio that turn out to be wrong. I'm betting this is one of them.

Paula

PS - I'm still pissed about when a local station announced that Stevie would be coming to my area on the TISL tour (even gave a date & venue) but it was never made official & never happened.

If that ever happened, I'd slit my wrists. Talk about the ultimate cash grab. And I can hear a medley of "Eyes of the World" and "Hole In the World" right now.

I like the Eagles and of course I love FM but haven't they toured enough for right now? I would love to see a Lindsey tour and hear some new music from Lindsey and Stevie instead. And of course the tickets would be a million bucks apiece.

Haha, my thoughts exactly.

I agree; Fleetwood Mac has toured enough for the time being without putting out more new material. I'd rather see them on hiatus for a little while if it means new group and/or solo albums. Somehow I don't see Lindsey being thrilled about the idea of a nostalgia tour with the Eagles.

Hey, maybe we can ask John if there's any truth to this .

Will the tour be billed as The Battle of Stevie's Ex's?

I don't think The Eagles and FM touring together is even a remote possibility. As everyone has mentioned the tickets would be outrageous. And what are they going to do, have a five hour show? Not gonna happen.

That's so great. I love it.

Yeah...it'll never happen. I mean, I love the Eagles, but I really don't know why they get compared to Fleetwood Mac so often. They have total different sounds. Has anyone else notice that they always play them back to back on the radio? Does that happen anywhere else or just here?

Exclamation Yeah...

I would pay $995 for a lawn seat if ONLY Lindsey was to KO Don Henley on stage...That would be priceless.

Tickets for FM/Eagles tour-$995
Amount of blood/plasma donated to pay for ticket-100 liters
Seeing Linds' KO Don Henley & his oversized ego-Priceless!!!

That's tooooootally what i was thinking...I just envisioned it - Lindsey and Don slapping each other like girls, and then Mick comes and grabs them and knocks their heads together, a la the three stooges... God that's funny in my head!!!

While the 3 Musical Stooges were fighting the infamous 4 stringed Penguin (Aka John McVie) would just drop-kick 'em off the stage.
