West Palm Beach Review!!! It rocked!!!

I was ten feet from the Queen of Rock and Roll, Stevie Nicks!!!! I can't believe it!!!! I am going to attempt to write a review of the concert. This isn't my first Mac concert (I saw them in Atlanta on the last leg of the tour), but it is the first time I was in the pit (and only five rows away from Stevie).

I had an exam yesterday at school and then quickly got home, got ready for a magical night of Fleetwood Mac, and then me and my Dad hit the road. Of course there is a fatal accident and no one is moving, this caused me so much stress. I had visions of not being there on time, but within fifteen minutes we were cruising down the highway. We only live two hours away from West Palm Beach, so it is pretty convenient.

Does anyone else get really nervouse before a FM concert? My stomach hurt for two hours before the show (almost as if I was performing tonight ). When we finally got to the amp., I was starved! But this ampitheatre is like, in the woods! So there was no where to stop and eat, so we got there early. I was thrilled because we got to hear the soundcheck!

When I got got to my seat, I was shocked! I saw Stevie's microphone and I was closer to her then I imagined. The seats were perfect. Fifth row, which was fine with me because I would rather see the band without getting a neckache. We were also dead centre. Right between Lindsey's mic and Stevie's mic.

A crazy guy started screaming "Stevie"!!! His seat was right next to ours!!! So after he was finished chanting "Stevie Nicks" at the top of his lungs he introduced himself and told my Dad that he had been to 28 Stevie shows since the eighties. My Dad quickly told him that he wasn't that into FM, but was taking me. Me and the crazy guy started chatting and he sort of annoyed me because he was telling me things I already knew. Just because I wasn't even born when Tango in the Night came out, does not mean I don't know anything about FM!!! He also said somethings like "sure, Stevie isn't as good anymore" Excuse me! Stevie rocks!

The crickets started chirping and I was all excited. Mick and John came out and then Stevie and Lindsey! I am still shocked that they were so close to me! Stevie was as beautiful as ever and I didn't take my eyes off her all night. The Chain rocked! It is one of my favorite songs! Dreams was great too, everyone was singing along. It felt very cool!

IKINW took me by suprise. I hadn't heard it in a while, but it was really fun! I sort of miss the harmonica part though. But Stevie was adorable with her little "Ba, ba, ba, bas" or "Do, do, do, dos" whatever that was! The song had the same effect that EOTW had on me last summer. It was really loud and fun, but not simething that was old and boring because I had not heard it in a long, long time.

Peacekeeper was great! I had a great group of people around me because almost everyone was singing along and stood up for the whole show (even the new songs). Everyone was dancing and crazy!

SHN was one of my favorites from the night. I just loved it! It is such a fun song. Another fun one that I loved was SYW which has so much energy. SUre, I would have liked Destiny Rules, but SYW has more enregy and the Stevie dance moves are priceless. Everyone was doing that lasso thing with her and she was all smiles!

NGBA is not one of my favorites, kind of boring. So, I took a few pics of the band. I noticed that during the song Stevie went off to the side of the stage to change her dress and came back on stage with a real low cut top and let me just say... she is so hot!!! How can this woman be sixty in a few years???

I'll skip through a few songs and get to the good stuff...

Come was great, I stood for the whole thing even though a few people sat down. It was really rocking!

Gold Dust Woman was the best ever! It seemed so powerful and I got a ton of pictures during this song, including a great one of the Gold Dust Woman pose.

I went to get a bottle of water during ISA because I was so dehydrated! The song was still playing when I got back and I stood right by the stage (Lindsey was literally right there in my face!) An evil security guard told me to go back to my seat. It's not like I was going to stay there the whole time! I was just on my way back from the consession stands.

Rhiannon was... eh. It was okay, but this song has never been my favorite. Red Rover was really great though. It is one of my favorite new songs.

The only song everyone sat down for was Say Goodbye, which sucked because I really couldn't get into the song while sitting down. It sounded beautiful though.

I didn't even notice Silver Springs was gone because I was so excited! However, it did seem like somewhere in the middle Stevie did not have enough songs to balance out Lindsey's.

Beautiful Child was hands down the best song of the night. It was beautiful, no pun intended, and it is prob. my favorite song of hers, so I loved it live! Only about a half dozen people in the first five rows were standing (me included) and Stevie looked over in my direction the whole time. I swear that at one point we made eye contact and I got goosebumps and it was amazing. If just her looking at me made me weak in the knees, I can completely understand the concept of being "starstruck". I sang along with Stevie and was in my own little world for like five minutes.

Sara was awesome! The crazy guy which I talked about earlier was so suprised! I almost wish I was suprised! It was just great, words can't describe. During the one line where she says she has met her match "he was singing", I realised that line was about Lindsey because she looked over at him and it was haunting.

Stand Back was another highlight of the night! Stevie went crazy and twirled for at least a half a minute at lightning speed! Her cape was flying in the wind and it was magic. Everyone went crazy during this part!!! I am 15 and I don't have that much energy. She topped it off with some high kicks!!! Oh, I love this song.

Tusk and Don't Stop were good. Nothing Special.

GYOW has the same energy as Stand Back and was awesome. I could hardly hear the band. The crowd sang the whole thing basically! Stevie was pleased, I could tell. There was little Stevie Lindsey interaction through the show. They really didn't sing to each other at all. Prob. has to do with why they didn't do Silver Springs. Maybe they didn't want to deal with each other.

World Turning was good when Stevie and Lindsey were actually singing! When Mick gave his 15 minute solo, I was so mad! Could it be anymore gag inducing? He wasn't even speaking English and most people did not seem to be enjoying it. I saw to girls dressed up as Stevie (who stood for the whole concert) sit down during his drum vest thing. It was so sad because he kept screaming "I don't hear you" and the audience just was not into it. It was forced excitment. It is time for Lindsey and Stevie to lay down the law and tell him what a fool he is making out of himself. When Lindsey came back on stage, I was like "Finally!"

Goodbye Baby was tender, Stevie cried and Lindsey looked like something was wrong with him. Now that everyone has put the pieces together, I think he and Stevie were having a fight. My Dad saw a fight happening during this song. It was two woman involved in some sort of catfight.

They took their bows and said goodbye. Lindsey was long gone, but Stevie stayed on stage and waved goodbye to everyone. She took some gifts (including a stuffed pink pig) and left the stage holding Mick's hand.

On our way out the two Goodbye Baby fighters went at it! It was an all out battle between good and evil! Some security guard almost pushed me into the dirt trying to break the fight up.

What a great night! It rocked my world!!! I can't wait to see FM again this Sunday!!!

It isn't just you I promise..I always get seated next to the crazies..lol

In Atlanta this guy wouldn't shut up..he tapped me one time and said "I that blonde background singer is her daughter--" of course i informed him "she doesnt have any children." he was like "oh i think she does." lol loser

Interesting observation. I've always assumed this line was about Mick, especially since I've heard some live performances (Wild Heart Tour?!) where she adds "...for a change" to that line. It wouldn't be "for a change" for Lindsey to have sung to her, unless it meant specifically in an intimate/loving way which he may have never done. Taking the lyric at face value only, maybe it just seemed natural/appropriate to look at Lindsey at that moment? Not to read so much into this, but I can't help myself in this case, especially since Stevie is so emotionally honest onstage. Anyone?

Well I don't know, I had never heard that line. But it was really beautiful because she was singing to the audience the whole time and sang, "I have met my match" Looked over at Lindsey and said "he was singing". I don't know. Whenever Stevie has explained what Sara was about she said it was about Fleetwood Mac and what was going on at the time it was written, so I would say it is about both of them.

Great concert. Though I didn't notice Stevie crying during GOODBYE BABY and I was right at the stage.

Oh..........but maybe thats because I had some crazy drunk girl having a FULL ON BRAWL, throwing punches and screaming obscenities right next to me. Don't ya just love some of these rediculous concert-goers?? They make me crazy.

One can see how it would be easy to view someone a foot and a 1/2 taller than you as such...
