Default Anyone else missing this leg of the tour?

I didn't get tickets and I don't have the money to get tickets.

I am really depressed! I know I'm not the only one missing this.

Let's start a pity party!

Janet, I feel ya. I wasn't going to go myself after seeing them twice on the last leg. BUT...when I heard they were doing "Sara" I knew I had to do whatever it took to go. I've always wanted to see them do that song. So for that reason alone, it's worth being broke for the next couple of weeks.

i must admit i don't read the concert reviews here anymore due to deep and helpless jealousy. i'm only a poor student, and it took me several months to financially recuperate from the concerts i attended in london. if i didn't buy this new pc, or if i was willing to give up on amsterdam this summer, i'd be ordering tickets this very moment. it's very hard for me to hold myself, but i do. i keep reminding myself i'm sane and reasonable, and i deserve the summer to chill out and not slaving myself to death.

Default Janet--why don't you get lawn seats?

I mean, they aren't too pricey, are they?
This way, you'd get the experience of hearing Sara live (and all the other goodies packed into an evening with FM).
Just remember--they may not tour again for years (if ever) after this. I know we're all spoiled to death now thinking we're going to have this thing every few months, but I seriously doubt it.
I just don't want you to kick yourself later;-)

I probably won't go to the Houston show either. I saw them last October at the opening night of the Toyota Center, and I just can't see paying to see basically the same show again. Plus, the Houston show is the same day as the PBS broadcast, and two days after the DVD release. I'll just watch them on the tube.

If the set list were different, or they were doing the same songs with different arrangements, or I thought there was any possibility that something terribly exciting and NEW was going to happen, I'd be there. I'm starting to think that this whole last "Year (and a Half) of Fleetwood Mac" has been something of a fiasco IMHO. Which is sad, because I love the album, and I've been to every Stevie/Mac show since 1983 (yes, even the "Time" tour...).

Tell me about it. I was also a student when I saw them at both Manchester shows last year and had to borrow money so I could go. I spoke to Lindsey at the end of the second show and told him they had to come back to Britain - he said 'sure we will' and I'm holding him to that!!

Id be happy with a Stevie solo concert but given that she hasnt toured the UK since 1989 (I think), thats also looking doubtful!

You really need to go. As I told Carne in another thread, Red Rover and Sara alone are worth the price of admission. I still don't have tickets to Camden yet but I have a feeling as the week goes on, better seats will pop up. A lot of times at the Tweeter Center, if you sit on the lawn, they pull people down from the lawn and stick them in the pit.

Back in 1998 when Stevie came to the Tweeter for the Enchanted tour, my mom and I were sitting about 15 rows back and I still remember all of the sudden, her friend breezing past us being escorted by an usher. They play trivia games on the lawn sometimes and if you win, you get to sit in the pit. So, don't loose hope dear!!

or if i was willing to give up on amsterdam this summer
I don't want to try to sway you too much, but Amsterdam will always be there next summer adn every summer after that. Fleetwood Mac probably won't be here next summer and for all I know ever again. So if you wanted advice I'd say skip Amsterdam and go see fleetwood Mac. And then go to Amsterdam next summer.

Count me out, too. :P
But "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn". It was too much, when they we here. So draining... emotionally, financially, physically. Although it kills me that I don't get to experience IKINW first hand. But hey, it's so successful, with any luck it'll still be in the setlist the next time they come to Australia.

Default Missing a leg . . . or are you hinting of another song?

I was sort of hoping you were going to say "Without A Leg To Stand On" was going to be included. Janet, check your local radio stations. A LOT of radio stations have been giving out tickets prior to all the shows. Good luck! I hope you get there. And I would love to hear that B/N song!

I am too. At least I hear EOEW. I can die happy.

I was debating on not going this summer..I'm a college student myself, and spent A LOT of money on their shows in 2003..and money can get tight at times...but decided to do 2 this summer...and I think I will be glad I did later...cuz like they said..who knows how long this will last? And I enjoy it..and if you're broke...somehow find 45 bucks and get a lawn seat, or the back of the arena...will still be fun..It's been a great "Year of Fleetwood Mac" for me and i dont regret any of it
